HaLong City is the capital of Quang Ninh, formerly known as Hongji City. In the past, it was often heard that Vietnam's Hung Ki coal has a large amount of good quality, and Chinese have invested in mining here for hundreds of years. Halong City is divided into two parts, the west is the white sparrow, and the east is Hung Ki. Near the white sparrow, I saw a large power plant, and three tall chimneys were directly inserted into the clouds. The tour guide said that the installed capacity of the power plant exceeded one million kilowatts, which was invested by the United States, Japan and other Western countries. This will be the first true expressway in Vietnam and is under construction. Vietnam's northern coast, including Haiphong, has become a major area open to the outside world.

After crossing the Pak Que Bridge, cross Halong City to reach the Michelin Hotel at the eastern tip of the Halong Peninsula. The neighborhood seems to be a tourism-oriented development area, with many hotels and hotels, and tourists are mostly Chinese. The development zone is not large, the surrounding land is open, mostly for the people, mostly imitating the French style of small Western-style buildings.
Take a boat from the pier to Halong Bay the next morning. Out of the harbor to the east, but above the sea, the mountains stand tall, steep and tall, ink-colored, and green. Just in time for the breeze and drizzle, the clouds are hazy, and the void is like entering the heavenly wonderland. Surrounded by peaks, about 50 kilometers, it is divided into three or four scenic spots. Up close, they are all karst landform islands, with single peaks, two peaks, three peaks, and even four or five peaks.
The island is full of stone cracks, thorny shrubs and exotic flowers and fruits, which is indeed a spectacle. This kind of rock mass with calcium carbonate as the main component is spread throughout southern China and northern Vietnam, in addition to the peculiar shape and verdant shape of the mountain with natural beauty qualifications, especially the caves and sinkholes. The peculiarity of Halong Bay lies in the sea. It brings the beauty of "Guilin landscape" into the sea, combines the ethereal beauty and the mysterious sense of mystery, and greatly satisfies the psychological needs of human beings to be pleasing to the eye. And there are countless islands in Halong Bay to the north, known as thousands, straight to the mouth of the Beilun River, and it is even more sensational and imposing.

Then climb to Apricot Island, located in the center of the scenic spot, and go straight up to the commanding heights of about 200 meters high. The two boulders, like two roosters looking at each other, attracting the neck and fighting, have now become one of the symbols of Vietnam, and the Vietnamese currency of 200,000 Vietnamese dong is printed with the pattern of cockfighting stone.

Halong Bay, the mouth of the Baiteng River, the strategic location is very important. Halong City and HaiPhong City are separated by two wings of the bay, across the sea, and the Bai Teng River Sea Gate has been the main waterway in and out of the Red River Delta since ancient times. Yuntun Ancient Port on the shores of Halong Bay is an important port of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, which has been the largest port in the northern part of Annam for more than a thousand years. Around the dispute over the right to traffic in Halong Bay, wars broke out many times on the ocean surface of the bay mouth and the Bai Teng River in the bay. Kublai Khan's third conquest of Annam in the early Yuan Dynasty was destroyed by fire in the area of Halong Bay. Yuan Shi talked about the "170,000 buckets" of burned soldiers' food, and in recent years, some Historical Records of Yue have described it as "170,000 Huo", which has expanded tenfold at once, which is ridiculous.

Although Vietnam is a small country, its main economic belts and cities are bordered by the sea, or connected to the sea by adjacent rivers, and have both marine and continental characteristics. Whether it is boat transportation or marine resources, it is unique. At the same time, the landform is changeable and the scenery is beautiful, which is a good place for tourism.
The northern coast of Vietnam is connected to The Two Prefectures of Guangxi Qin and Lian, across the sea from the Leizhou Peninsula and Hainan Island, and surrounded by the Beibu Gulf from the west. This "inland sea", formed by the interconnection of islands, peninsulas and coastal plains, has always been known for its calm winds and waves and abundant products. China's Nandu River, Qin River, Beilun River and the vast Red River system are poured into this, and the stable alluvial plains are not only suitable for living and farming, but also carry rich microorganisms and humus, becoming a gathering place for marine life and a natural large fishing ground. What's even more amazing is that it is also the place where the geology of the Cenozoic era is drastically changed. Geologists have researched that the coastal waters of northern Hainan, the western Part of the Leizhou Peninsula and the northern part of Vietnam are one of the most intense, frequent and longest volcanic activities since the Cenozoic Era, from the first lava rushing out of the ground 65 million years ago to the silence after the last batch of volcanoes erupted violently about 10,000 years ago.
When magma erupts from the ocean floor, its shape is turbulent, its color is red, and the whole world is changed. Over the years, the crimson changed, solidified, hard, and blackened, and the Creator covered it with a thick layer of green to form a unique volcanic lava landform.
In 2006, the volcanic lava landform represented by the Shishan Volcanic Group in Haikou, Hainan and the Light Rock in Zhanjiang Lake, Guangdong Province, was awarded the title of Global Geopark by UNESCO. I have twice landed on Weizhou Island in Beihai City, Guangxi Province, as evidenced by the majestic Gothic Catholic church built of volcanic lava. This lava landform also extends into the waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Juxtaposed with volcanic rocks on both sides of the Beibu Gulf are karst landforms that stretch from the 100,000 mountains of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the Yuebei Mountains to the sea, and its representative work is the Halong Bay Island Group, which has also been awarded the World Geological Heritage by UNESCO. The east and west sides of the Beibu Gulf are juxtaposed with two major world geological heritage sites, and the density is rare. It's a place of great views and wonders.
