From March 4 to 5, the Ukrainian media Kiev Independent, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the Ukrainian State Security Agency successively released news that Ukrainian troops shot down a Russian warplane.

The Kiev Independent quoted the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense as saying on a foreign social media twitter that on March 4, local time, a Su-34 fighter of the Russian army was shot down near the eastern Ukrainian city of Vlorovaka.
It is worth noting that the Kiev Independent newspaper published the news with a photo of a Su-25 fighter plane that had been shot down earlier, but the media later clarified in its reply.
Shortly thereafter, Ukraine's Defense Ministry announced an important victory on its official website, saying that an ace pilot of the Russian army was captured after the fighter was shot down, and said that he had participated in the Russian military operation in Syria.
At about 10 p.m. Beijing time on March 5, the Ukrainian State Security Service released footage of the captured pilots' trials, and at the beginning of the video, a group photo of the pilots during their service in Syria was also placed.
Shortly after the news was released, a large number of footage of the Crash of the Su-34 fighter numbered 24 appeared on overseas social media. It has been confirmed that the fighter has carried out missions in Syria.
The Su-34 fighter number 24 has appeared in Russian media reports several times. It is certain that in June 2021, in a video report of a reporter from Russian Television Today visiting the Khmemim Air Base in Syria, the fighter was still in perfect condition.
