All athletes participating in Paralympic ice hockey are athletes with lower limb disabilities. During the game, there are 6 players on both sides, and the athletes use technical actions such as sliding, dribbling, passing, shooting, and body interception to attack and defend each other in accordance with the rules in the ice rink, and strive to shoot the ice ball into the opponent's goal. The game is divided into 3 innings, each with 15 minutes, with a 15-minute break in between, scoring 1 goal and scoring 1 point, and the winner of the most points is the winner. If the two teams score equally at the end of a match of 3 innings, extra time is played. Extra time and scoring, the game is over. If neither team scores at the end of extra time, the two sides play a shoot-on-goal match until the winner is decided.
