Recently, Huaqin Technology's "Automotive Electronics Lingang R&D Headquarters" and "Intelligent Manufacturing Base" projects with a total investment of 3.7 billion yuan were signed and landed in the Lingang New Area of Shanghai Free Trade Zone. The project will mainly focus on the field of automotive electronics and consumer electronics, creating a trinity of integrated services for hardware product research and development, software services and high-end manufacturing of "lighthouse automated factories".

According to reports, Huaqin Technology is the world's leading intelligent hardware platform enterprises, its automotive electronics business focuses on intelligent cockpit, intelligent networking, intelligent driving, intelligent vehicle control four aspects of business modules, to provide customers with competitive "networked" and "intelligent" customized software and hardware solutions. With a total investment of 3.7 billion yuan, a total area of 232 mu and a total construction area of 360,000 square meters, the project will be fully completed and put into use in 2025. It is expected that in 2030, it will achieve annual revenue of more than 14 billion yuan, attracting nearly 5,000 automotive electronics-related talents, including R&D designers and high-end intelligent manufacturing talents.
The relevant person in charge of the High-tech Department of the Management Committee of Lingang New Area said that in 2021, the automobile industry in Lingang New Area achieved "three historic breakthroughs", and the agglomeration trend of intelligent new energy automobile industry has been formed: the output value scale of 179.4 billion yuan has become the first frontier industry to break through 100 billion; the output of complete vehicles has exceeded 750,000 for the first time, accounting for a quarter of the city; the number of intelligent new energy automobile enterprises has exceeded 100 for the first time, covering the whole industrial chain of research and development, manufacturing, trade, testing and so on.
In the future, Huaqin Lingang Project will lead the new area to focus on the automotive electronics industry, and vigorously develop five major areas: chassis electronics, cockpit electronics, driver control electronics, network electronics, and body electronics. On the other hand, Huaqin Lingang project is also the first successful model for achieving "Zhangjiang-Lingang Dual Zone Linkage" in the field of automotive electronics.
