The First Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology entrusted the Communication Clearing Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to carry out the liquidation review of the subsidy fund for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles in 2019-2020 and the pre-allocation and calculation of the subsidy fund in 2019-2021. According to the documents, BYD Automobile Industry and BYD Automobile received a total of 2.939 billion yuan in subsidies, Tesla (Shanghai) received 1.215 billion yuan in subsidies, and SAIC Motor received 602 million yuan in subsidies. By the end of 2021, the Ministry of Finance announced the liquidation and review of 19 batches of subsidy funds for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles, with a cumulative amount of more than 140 billion yuan.
