Twitter user GaryeonHan and many Samsung mobile phone users found that when Samsung's game optimization app GOS (full name "Game Optimizing Service") runs in the background, more than 10,000 apps are limited in performance, not only a large number of games, but also YouTube Vanced, Netflix, Samsung Pay, Strava, foodpanda, Microsoft Common apps like Office, LinkedIn, and Zoom, but some run-off apps aren't among them.

IT House learned that before the One UI 4.0 update, Galaxy phone users could easily bypass GOS to improve their experience, but now Samsung makes it difficult to do so. GaryeonHan points out that GOS imposes performance limits even when it's not needed, such as when the temperature of the device is within a reasonable range.

Now Samsung has responded, saying that the GoS of the Galaxy S22 is a built-in application that optimizes GPU and CPU performance to prevent overheating caused by long gaming sessions. In order to meet the needs of various customers in the near future, we plan to push software updates in the near future, providing customers with a "performance first" option. Samsung also said that it will continue to listen to customers' opinions and feedback and do its best to satisfy customers.
