Coconut City "Pile Master"

Wang Yu is on patrol.

"Reverse, park, turn off..." At 9 p.m. on February 18, at the Chengxi New Energy Bus Charging Station Station (hereinafter referred to as Chengxi Station) located on Nanhai Avenue in Haikou City, Wang Yu, the administrator of the charging pile, was busy. After a while, four or five new energy buses entered the scene to charge.

With the vehicle entering, Wang Yu skillfully directed the bus driver to reverse into the vacant charging position, confirmed that the car had been stopped, turned off the power, trotted all the way to the rear of the car, skillfully plugged in the charging gun, observed the charging data on the electronic central control screen, ensured safety, and then commanded another car...

Every night as the night gets darker and the city quiets down, the new energy charging stations scattered throughout Haikou become active. Here, these new energy buses transporting the vitality of the city seem to be "deflated", quietly nestling in the charging station, waiting to be "awakened".

The person responsible for "waking up" the new energy bus is the charging pile administrator like Wang Yu, who is also known as the "pile master". In Haikou, with the popularization of new energy vehicles, the number of charging stations has increased year by year, and the emerging profession of "pile master" has gradually entered people's field of vision.

1 person has to manage 40 piles

"Today's traffic jam is serious, power consumption is more, you pay attention to help me see, it must be full of grid electricity!" At about 9 p.m. on February 18, at Chengxi Station, a No. 63 bus had just received its bus, and after the driver parked the car, he asked Wang Yu a few words.

"Rest assured! No problem. After the bus stopped, Wang Yu ran to the car to check the condition of the vehicle, then trotted all the way to the rear of the car, opened the charging cover on the right rear side of the vehicle, took out the charging gun from the charging pile and inserted it into the charging port, and the interface emitted a "click" a soft sound to successfully connect. And this action of going up and down, running around the car, she had to repeat at least a hundred times a night.

There are a total of 40 charging piles at Chengxi Station, where Wang Yu is located, to ensure the charging needs of more than 70 new energy buses on the surrounding lines. The station is open 24 hours, in addition to the station manager, 3 "pile owners" work three shifts to ensure that the bus can be charged at any time.

A person has to manage 40 charging piles, and the task of "pile master" is not easy.

"Mobile phones and computers can be charged by plugging in, but buses are not so simple, and you have to keep an eye on the charging status." Wang Yu said that plugging in the charging gun is only the first step, the "pile owner" also has to read the output voltage, demand voltage, start and end SOC and other data on the electronic central control screen of the charging pile to ensure that it is not charged "virtual power", "For example, sometimes, the screen shows 'charging', but there is no relevant progress data, there is no charging success, and the reason needs to be re-checked." ”

Many reasons, such as the bus not turning off the power, the battery failure, or the wet and worn charging tip, may cause the charging failure. After connecting the charging gun, the experienced "pile owner" will continue to stay in place for a few minutes to confirm the smooth charging of the bus, if the charging is not successful, the "pile owner" will be the first time to troubleshoot the cause and contact the maintenance department.

"Some people misunderstand that the charging pile administrator is only responsible for charging the gun and has no technical content, but in fact, their work is related to the orderly operation of the bus system, sloppy, safe and orderly is very important." Wang Fu, manager of the operation department of Haikou Public Transport New Energy Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Haikou Public Transport New Energy Company), an operation and management unit of Chengxi Station, introduced that all "pile owners" must undergo training and obtain a low-voltage electrician certificate before they can take up their posts, while maintenance personnel need to obtain a high-voltage electrician certificate.

8 hours inspection 100 times

"This work seems simple, but in fact, there are many details to pay attention to, to be a competent 'pile master', careful, patient and responsible is indispensable." Fu Liting, the station manager of Chengxi Station, is an "old pile owner" who has been in the industry for 5 years, she said that in addition to charging, the "pile owner" must also do a good job in the daily management of charging piles and stations.

Even the initial basic charging has a lot of attention. During the charging process, there is a possibility of "jumping the gun" at any time, and the "pile owner" must patrol back and forth, constantly adjust, and then re-withdraw the gun and insert the gun to ensure that the bus is charged.

"If it is not charged, it will affect the driver's shift." When on duty, you must always patrol, you can't be sloppy at all, and it is normal to walk back and forth for a hundred times. Wang Yu said that the combined weight of the gun head and the electric tube is more than three pounds, and when he first came into contact with this job, it was common for his arms and shoulders to be sore.

At work, the "pile owners" must not only be able to charge, but also carefully "read" the driver.

"For example, on the right rear side of the bus, some cars only have the battery cover open, and some cars even have the power cover open." Fu Liting pointed to a bus and explained that this was a tacit "secret code" between the "pile owner" and the driver.

Due to the peak-valley time-of-use electricity price mechanism, the peak-time electricity price (16:00 to 24:00) is almost 3 times that of the valley hour (0:00 to 8:00). Some drivers will ask the "pile owner" to fully charge the car when the car is fully charged at the valley even if the shift is at peak time. However, some drivers still need to leave the train during peak hours and will also drive back to the station to charge.

"Over time, everyone agreed that the car that drove back to the station at the peak time, if two covers were opened, was the car that had been shifted, and it was fully charged after the early morning. If only one lid is opened, it will have to be charged to about 60% immediately to ensure that the driver is on shift. Fu Liting said.

In addition, the "pile owners" are also responsible for the daily management of the charging pile, such as checking whether the emergency stop switch rebounds in place, whether the touch screen is working properly, whether the gun head is wet, worn and whether the wire is damaged. Each time you inspect, you must record the status of the charging pile and write it into the duty notes.

Every time it rainstorm, it is more necessary to pay attention to whether the charging gun head is wet and defaced, so as to avoid short circuit and leakage. Fu Liting said that in thunder and lightning weather, it is impossible to recharge, so it must be reported to the superior in time and coordinated by the company.

The number of stations increased from 5 to 32

As the first batch of "pile owners" of Haikou Bus New Energy Company, Fu Liting has witnessed the rapid development of haikou new energy transportation in 5 years.

In February 2017, Haikou Bus New Energy Company was established, responsible for car charging services, charging pile system management services and other businesses, in order to transform the original station and the new station combination form, lay new energy bus charging station, that year set up a total of 5 stations in Baishamen, Baishuitang, Longhua, Shiziling and East Station, a total of 66 charging guns.

"In 2017, I entered the Baisha Gate Station and became one of the first batch of 'pile owners'." Fu Liting recalled that at that time, there were only 6 charging guns at Baisha Gate Station, and there were not many vehicles charging. On the streets of Haikou, the number of new energy vehicles is also very small.

"At that time, all the charging data was recorded by hand, settled, and then manually entered into the computer to summarize." Fu Liting introduced that because new energy vehicles were not popular at that time, the corresponding software and hardware supporting facilities were not complete enough, and the "pile owners" could only use paper and pencil to record the charging time, front and rear power, consumption information and soC charging data of each new energy vehicle, and then enter the computer according to the record, which was very troublesome. "Now, relying on an intelligent information platform can automatically collect and integrate data."

In recent years, Haikou Bus Group has accelerated the construction of green buses, increased the amount of new energy buses, realized all clean energy of Haikou buses, supported the construction of charging stations, and built corresponding information platforms.

In just 5 years, the charging station station operated by Haikou Bus New Energy Company has been expanded from 5 to 32, and there are currently 352 electric piles, of which 872 are charging guns, and the total power of charging piles is 54846 kilowatts, according to the current charging station configuration, the charging guarantee capacity of pure electric vehicles of Haikou Bus can reach more than 10,000 vehicles per day.

While ensuring the operation of pure electric buses, 31 charging stations are open to the public to provide charging for tourist buses, logistics vehicles, online ride-hailing cars and private cars.

"Nowadays, more and more private cars come to the depot to charge." In Fu Liting's view, together with the "pile owner", there are more green and healthy forms of transportation and lifestyles.
