Beijing, February 17 (China News Network) With the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, "a pier is difficult to find" in the market. In a hut in Beijing's Xicheng Hutong, there is an entire wall of "ice piers" and more than 5,000 Olympic-related souvenirs. This is the "hard work" of "post-80s" boy Zhang Wenquan for more than 20 years. Recently, he selected an astronaut version of the "Ice Pier" that belongs to the collector's edition and gave it to Japanese television reporter Tsujioka Yoshido (self-proclaimed "Yoshidun Pier").

The theme exhibition of "Blazing Ice and Snow, Chasing Dreams of the Winter Olympics" was held on February 17 at the Shichahai Party And Group Service Center in Xicheng District, Beijing. Zhang Wenquan transferred more than 100 pieces of collectibles to the exhibition hall, in Zhang Wenquan's words, "solo music is not as good as crowd music".

This time, he appeared with a large number of piers and explained the display one by one. Limited editions, blind boxes, sports, astronauts... The "ice piers" of different shapes are cute and attract several residents to hold a group photo in the palm of their hands.

In addition to the "Top Stream of the Winter Olympics" - "Ice Pier", the mascots of previous Winter Olympic Games, the smile badge of volunteers of the Beijing Olympic Games, the landscape model of the Olympic venues, and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Torch are also exhibited.

So many Olympic collections are only a small part of Zhang Wenquan's "assets".

Zhang Wenquan's association with the Olympic collection also began with the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Zhang Wenquan, who was in junior high school at that time, saw on TV that Chinese athletes were working the Olympic field and winning glory for the country, and he had a strong interest in the Olympic Games, and he thought of collecting some Olympic peripheral products as a souvenir. At that time, he only bought some Olympic mascots, Olympic watches, landscape flags and other "retention" in pieces.

Since 2008, he has embarked on a journey to "collect" the Olympic Games. During the Beijing Olympic Games, Zhang Wenquan, as a college student, became a volunteer for the printing and distribution of results at Wukesong Baseball Stadium, responsible for printing out the performance report and sending it to various business outlets and platforms. The experience of personally participating in the Olympic Games has deepened his understanding and love for the Olympic Movement, and has also allowed him to collect the "tentacles" of the Olympic collection more and more extensively and deeply.

He introduced that since 2000, there have been more than 5,000 Olympic collections. Badges, certificates, tickets, commemorative coins, stamps, meal tickets, postcards, signatures, torch models, venue models, mascots, landscape flags, documents, music, games, stationery, school bags, clothes... The collection is all-encompassing, with various objects placed in the home in the Shichahai Hutong, which can be described as a miniature "Olympic Museum".

At the exhibition site, he pointed to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Torch and said that there are more than ten Beijing Olympic Torches alone, including research and development editions, transfer editions, Mount Everest editions, etc. "I especially like the auspicious cloud pattern, full of Chinese flavor." The free, tense shape seems to be flowing, changing, and nurturing something new. ”

In 2015, Beijing successfully bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, and since then, Zhang Wenquan has begun collecting souvenirs of previous Winter Olympic Games.

From 2019 onwards, Zhang Wenquan began to collect "ice piers" and "snow rongrong" after the release of the mascots of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, especially liked the astronaut version of "ice piers" and "snow rongrong", because "when I think of our astronauts traveling in space, I feel particularly proud and proud", and the mascot of this model is also "particularly cute, has a sense of the future, and is in line with the slogan of this year's Winter Olympics 'Together to the Future'." ”

In his view, the "ice pier" has become the top stream, because it has sprouted a new height, and because behind it is the heat of the Beijing Winter Olympics and the temperature of Chinese culture, and the hardness of Chinese science and technology.

Today, he has more than 50 versions, hundreds of "ice piers", and an entire wall. While congratulating himself early, he thought, "I should have bought more and bought a room full of piers." ”

The "ice pier" became the "top stream of the Winter Olympics", and Zhang Wenquan also became popular because he had many "top streams of the Winter Olympics".

"A lot of people ask me where to buy 'ice piers', I know this best", "Many people ask me for 'ice piers', I am a bit reluctant"... Of course, some people gave him winter Olympic souvenirs, such as the exhibition of the Beijing Winter Olympics opening ceremony cold protection gift bag - the blue bag is printed with the Beijing Winter Olympics logo and snowflake pattern, the bag contains gloves, hats, blankets, warm babies and so on.

"A few years ago a lot of people didn't understand why I spent so much money on these things, but seeing a lot of people supporting me was the motivation for me to keep going." Working for a construction company, he did his job and gave all his time to the Olympic collection.

In 2021, although Zhang Wenquan failed to successfully become a volunteer for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, he signed up to join the city volunteers and contributed to the Beijing Winter Olympics on the sidelines.

The reporter learned that he has been trying to cheer for the Winter Olympics with his own collection and every word. Participating in club activities, participating in the Winter Olympics theme slogan to promote the MV of the song "Together to the Future", and displaying the collection through social media and exhibitions, he actively disseminated Olympic knowledge and inherited the Olympic spirit.

His Olympic collection has been exhibited at Beijing Institute of Technology and ten primary and secondary schools in Beijing, and when he saw students paying attention to the Olympic Games, he felt that "everything was worth it." Today, he has taken out his collection and held exhibitions at the China Science and Technology Museum, the China Film Museum, the Zizhuyuan Park Dongmen City Volunteer Service Site, and the Shichahai Party Group Service Center, hoping that more people will join him in helping the Winter Olympics.

When he saw from the Internet that Japanese TELEVISION reporter Yoshido Tsujioka was not only wearing a "ice pier" T-shirt and a "ice pier" badge on his media card, but also combined the "righteousness" in his name with the "ice pier" to give himself a new name "yidun dun", Zhang Wenquan was moved.

"When the TV station came to interview me, I chose one of the several astronaut versions of the 'ice pier' in the collection and asked the staff to give it to the 'righteous pier' in the closed loop." He said that the gift has been delivered and will appear in the program recorded by "Yidundun".

Not being able to walk into the Winter Olympic venue to watch the game made Zhang Wenquan regret a little. However, in 3 days, he will sit in the "Bird's Nest" to watch the closing ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics and experience the Winter Olympics.

"I'm going to keep collecting." In the process of understanding the Olympic Games, looking forward to the Olympic Games, and experiencing the Olympic Games, Zhang Wenquan hopes that many collections will not only be coldly placed in his own display cabinet, but will let them "live" in front of the public, popularize Olympic knowledge, carry forward the Olympic spirit, and pass on the Olympic dream.
