According to the data released by the Association of Passenger Vehicles a few days ago, the retail sales of the domestic passenger car market in the first two weeks of February (1-13 days) were only 339,000 units, down 33% year-on-year and 56% lower than the same period last month. Wholesale sales of passenger cars were 359,000 units, down 20% year-on-year and 49% from the same period last month.
The data shows that in the first two weeks of February (1-13 days} the average daily retail sales of major manufacturers were 26,097 vehicles, down 33% compared with 39,076 units in the same period last year. Compared to the same period in January, it decreased by 56% month-on-month.
In terms of wholesale sales of passenger cars, the wholesale sales of automobile manufacturers in the first week of February were almost zero, after all, the first week was all during the Spring Festival holiday. Overall, the average daily shipments of major manufacturers in the first two weeks of February were 27,618 units, down 20% year-on-year compared to 34,497 units in the same period last year; down 49% month-on-month compared with the same period in January.
