Recently, according to foreign media reports. A car transport ship named "Felicity Ace" had an accident during the voyage, the ship issued a distress signal after a fire broke out on one of the cargo decks, and soon after declared the ship "out of control", but fortunately, the 22 crew members on board were rescued by a nearby ship shortly after the distress signal was issued, and there were no casualties. The ship departed from the port of Emden, Germany, on Feb. 10 and carried Porsche and other Volkswagen Group brand vehicles. It was scheduled to arrive in Davisville, Rhode Island, U.S. on the morning of February 23.

Built in 2005, the "Felicity Ace" is 656 feet long, 104 feet wide and has a carrying capacity of 17,738 tons. When fully loaded, the ship can carry nearly 4,000 cars. Shortly after the fire, at the Porsche Forum in North America, prospective owners posted speculation that the new cars they bought might be affected by the fire. One user named Matt Farah said that he ordered the Porsche Boxster Spyder in August and was likely to be on the ship, "I was happy to get it at the end of the month, but at the moment it seems that this expectation is going to be disappointed".
