He is a visiting scholar of plastic surgery at Harvard University, New York University, and the University of Pittsburgh, and a Class A researcher of the 100 Talents Program (Clinical Medicine) of Zhejiang University.
He is currently the vice chairman of the Youth Committee of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the vice chairman of the Plastic Surgery Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, the member of the Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the deputy leader of the Fat Grafting Department of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and the deputy leader of the Stem Cell Clinical Translation and Application Group of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association.
The first author undertook 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 1 national key research and development program, 6 provincial and ministerial projects, 6 university-level projects, and 33 SCI papers published by the first or corresponding author, of which 6 were published in Plast Reconstr Surg, the first journal of international plastic surgery. Lancet magazine 1 article (impact factor 30.758), 2 invention patents, 12 monographs, invited to host and speak at international conferences for many times, won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2011, the first prize of the military medical achievement in 2010, and the second prize of the military science and technology progress award in 2008. In 2017, he was awarded the "Famous Doctor of the Country - Young New Sharp" by the People's Daily and the National Health and Family Planning Commission as the guiding unit, and sponsored by the People's Network and the Health Times.
