A few days ago, overseas evaluation agency PBKreviews also announced the disassembly video and durability test of the Galaxy S22 Ultra in the series, showing that this model scored 7.5 points in the repairability score of 10 points.
According to the relevant information released by PBKreviews, in the scratch test, because the Galaxy S22 Ultra is made of aluminum in the middle frame, back cover, SIM card holder and S Pen top of the fuselage, its scratch resistance is strong. The Galaxy S22 Ultra only scratched slightly during the Mohs hardness level 6 test, but its ultrasonic fingerprint recognition sensor is still working. In addition, in terms of bending resistance, no matter which side the pressure is applied from, this model will not be easily bent. Even in the extreme wheel roll test, the Galaxy S22 Ultra only showed abrasions on one side of the screen after being crushed, and there was no structural damage.
In the disassembly test of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, PBKreviews said that the screen of this model uses a lot of adhesive to fix, the battery is back-adhesive fixed, and it is equipped with a large-size heating plate and a protective layer of the fingerprint recognition module under the screen, so it is relatively difficult to disassemble and repair. In addition, through the disassembly, it was also found that the Galaxy S22 Ultra's rear main camera, wide angle and telephoto lens all support OIS optical image stabilization, but the ultra-wide angle lens does not have this function.
In terms of hardware configuration, galaxy S22 Ultra adopts a 6.8-inch AMOLED curved screen with a maximum 120Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 or Samsung Exynos 2200 main control, and a storage combination of up to 12GB+1TB. In terms of imaging, it is equipped with a 40-megapixel front camera, and a rear quad-camera module consisting of a 108-megapixel main camera + 12-megapixel ultra-optical angle lens + 10-megapixel 3x optical zoom lens + 10mp 10x optical zoom lens. In terms of battery life, it provides a 5000mAh battery, and supports wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging functions up to 45W.
Through the test of PBKreviews, it is not difficult to find that the Galaxy S22 Ultra is stronger in terms of durability, but it is accompanied by increased difficulty in dismantling and repairing. At present, Samsung has launched a full queue activity of the Galaxy S22 series in the domestic market, with a tasting price of 5499 yuan, and as for the specific price information of the series of models, it is yet to be further revealed at the domestic press conference on February 22.
