
After a long period of trial operation in the early stage, recently, the Lijia Intelligent Network Autonomous Driving Project in Liangjiang New Area was officially opened for demonstration operation.
The project is supported by the Baidu Apollo platform, and each vehicle is equipped with 4 lidar, 6 millimeter wave radar, and 7 sets of HD dynamic camera modules. These vehicle perception systems, together, make up the "eyes" of the bus. The top of the car is also equipped with a "combined navigation and positioning system", which coordinates a variety of positioning algorithms and combines high-precision positioning maps to achieve centimeter-level positioning, flexibly perceive the surrounding environment, and make accurate judgments.
At the same time, the vehicle networking system of Lijia-Yuelai area is equipped with "Sky Eye" for autonomous buses, and the integrated operation monitoring of "human vehicle road network cloud" is realized through C-V2X vehicle-road collaboration technology, which is the first time to find abnormal road traffic and meet the intelligent travel needs of autonomous vehicles, which is also the key to the smooth operation of Lijia intelligent networked automatic driving project.
The self-driving bus starts from Lijia Smart Park Station and passes through Baiyun Lake Park Station, Lici Road Station, Lijiatianjie South Station, Lijiatianjie North Station, Lixian Road Station, Lijia Wisdom Hall Station, Yunxiao Road Station, and finally returns to Lijia Wisdom Park Station.
"The vehicle is about to change lanes to the left" When there is an obstacle in front of the vehicle, the voice of the vehicle will automatically make a voice reminder, and the vehicle "observes" the surrounding area for safe lane change. When it encounters a red light, the vehicle slows down and waits for the red light to end. The large screen in front of the vehicle conducts a "live broadcast" of the driving situation of the whole vehicle.
"This self-driving bus not only runs smoothly and comfortably, but also makes it easier for me to get out!" Mr. Zhang, a citizen who experienced the on-site test ride, told reporters that after the opening of this automatic driving line, he went to the nearby park, and the business circle and rail station were much more convenient.
"A total of 5 autonomous buses will be put into demonstration operation this time, and the self-driving bus will circulate in the line from 9:00 a.m., and strive to let every citizen not miss the opportunity to experience this new way of travel." The relevant person in charge introduced.
Passengers have two options for booking, both of which can be completed within 2 minutes. Citizens can make an appointment through Baidu Map, just click "Public Transportation", select "Automatic Driving", browse the line information to select the frequency, and finally fill in the passenger information. In addition, you can also pay attention to the WeChat public account "Du Youxing" and click "Book a Ride" to allow access to location information, and you can complete the reservation after logging in to your Baidu account.
In order to ensure the smooth travel of citizens, the self-driving bus adopts the mode of non-intermittent service from Monday to Sunday.
As early as 2019, the "Apollon" self-driving shuttle developed by Baidu landed in Lijia Smart Park and was loved by tourists. The opening and operation of the Lijia Intelligent Network Autonomous Driving Project marks the further expansion of the Lijia Smart Park Smart Experience Project.
At present, in accordance with the requirements of "projectization, inventory and standardization", Liangjiang New Area is simultaneously promoting the construction of the road end, scene end and platform end of "three districts, one line and two points", and is committed to creating three major application scenarios. The three districts, namely Lijia, Yuelai and Longsheng, create a vehicle-road collaborative test scene; the first-line is connected to Liyue Road in Yuelai and Lijia areas to create a vehicle-road collaborative demonstration experience scene integrating smart transportation, smart city, life and leisure; two points are the airport functional area of the comprehensive insurance area and the orchard port, to create a smart logistics vehicle-road collaborative application scenario. It is planned that by 2022, more than 400 vehicle road collaborative intersections will be upgraded, 10,000 vehicle-mounted OBU will be installed, and the vehicle network in Liangjiang New Area will eventually be fully covered.
