According to relevant data, the global sales of electric vehicles (EVs) in 2021 will be 6.5 million, an increase of 109% over 2020, and half of them are in the Chinese mainland.

Electric vehicle sales in the U.S. lag far behind Chinese mainland and Europe, with only 4% of new cars in 2021 being electric. Tesla continues to dominate the U.S. electric vehicle market with a share of just under 60 percent.
In Europe, traditional car manufacturers are increasingly electrifying their product ranges. In 2021, european electric vehicles accounted for 19% of total vehicle sales, delivering 2.3 million vehicles. The Tesla Model 3 is the best-selling electric car in Europe in 2021, but Volkswagen is still a major manufacturer of electric vehicles, with several models from Audi, Skoda and Volkswagen selling well.
