CATL said that recently there have been malicious rumors about the NINGDE era being sanctioned, being excluded from the ChiNext weight index, and negotiating with Tesla, which are unfounded and bad in nature. In order to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the enterprise, the company has officially reported the case to the public security organs on February 12.
Earlier, some media reported that CATL was consulting the agency about the possibility of its sanctions, to which CATL responded that "the news is untrue." There is also news that the recent performance of the stock price of the Ningde era has been depressed, interpreting it as "talking with the battery supply car company Tesla".
In addition to clarifying relevant rumors in the Ningde era, according to domestic media reports, the relevant person in charge of Tesla can also debunk the news that "the Ningde era and Tesla talked about collapse".
According to the data, CATL was founded in 2011 and is one of the first power battery manufacturers with international competitiveness in China.
Not long ago, according to the latest research report released by the South Korean market research agency SNE, CATL ranked first in the global power battery installed capacity for the fifth consecutive year in 2021, significantly ahead of south Korea's LG, which ranked second.
In February 2020, CATL launched its first cooperation with Tesla, the former supplying lithium-ion power battery products to Tesla from July 2020 to June 2022. In October of the same year, the first Model 3 equipped with Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries in the Ningde Era was launched.
In June 2021, CATL issued an announcement that it would supply lithium-ion power battery products to Tesla from January 2022 to December 2025. This means that the two sides have reached a "renewal".
At present, the entry-level domestic Model 3 and Model Y equipped with 60kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries are supplied by the Ningde era. These two models are also the main sales models of the current domestic Tesla, from the domestic delivery of 484,000 teslas in 2021, CATL is expected to supply more than 60% of the battery.
It is worth mentioning that not long ago, the stock price of Ningde Times fell sharply for many days, and as of the close of trading on February 11, the stock price closed at 489.99 yuan. After the year of the tiger, the company's market value has evaporated by more than 200 billion yuan.
On Monday, February 14, after the opening of the Ningde era, the high opening picked up, as of today's lunch break, reported 509.33 yuan, up 3.95%, the company's latest market value of 1.19 trillion yuan.
