Zi Ri: "Learn and learn from time to time, don't you say it?" Have friends from afar, are you happy? People don't know and don't care, aren't they gentlemen? Confucius's words are appropriate to me, who has come to Wangcheng to meet many writers and friends. If a person wants to make a greater contribution to society, it is inseparable from the guidance of friends, teachers and knowledgeable people. The Chinese and foreign writers I meet today are friends from afar, and this "most beautiful encounter" makes me feel very excited and I will benefit from their words and deeds. The process of getting along with them is a process of wisdom growth and continuous progress, although my Chinese is not very fluent now, and it is inevitable that I will encounter difficulties in communication, but after overcoming these difficulties, there will be great gains.
In May 2018, I had the honor to participate in the "Chinese and Foreign Writers Exchange Camp" in Changsha Wangcheng. I am grateful for the guidance and helpfulness of the writers, whose opportunities to interact with them are rare. Before I left Beijing, I had only a few simple things to know about Hunan. For example, this is the hometown of Chairman Mao and Shen Congwen; several snacks from Hunan can be seen in Beijing. That's all I know. I did not expect that Wangcheng in Hunan has such a rich and colorful history and culture: there is the Ouyang Inquiry Cultural Park where the great calligrapher Ouyang Que and his son Ouyang Tong lived, there are many places of interest and monuments such as Tongguan Ancient Town, Qiaokou Town, Jinggang Ancient Town, and more importantly, lei Feng's hometown, a good example of Chinese people, and the Lei Feng Museum. All of this made me understand Hunan and China more deeply, and I was also greatly inspired by it.
After arriving in Wangcheng, my first impression was the hospitality of the locals, which made me feel the high quality of the people of Hunan and the sincere attitude of "learning from Lei Feng". I also learned about Wangcheng's "business card" - porcelain, Lei Feng's hometown, and the long-standing cultural heritage of the ancient town. I not only learned about the basic situation of these aspects, but also discovered the way of life and customs here and other places, and my respect and admiration for the rich history and culture of Wangcheng rose in my heart.
The Ouyang Pavilion on Shutang Mountain has a history of more than 1,500 years and is an important place for Ouyang Andong's father to study calligraphy. The Ouyang Qing Cultural Park, built with Ouyang Pavilion as the center, has attractions such as wenbi pagoda and Kaiyuan Square, and the quiet and beautiful environment attracts many tourists. Here I have this thinking: "Inspiration is an irreplaceable motivation for artistic creation, and the natural environment is the primary trigger for inspiration." Therefore, the harmonious environment atmosphere is the foundation of calligraphy art, and the idyllic state of the artist's inner world prompts him to give full play to his potential, so as to create extremely high-level works and become an example for later calligraphers, writers and poets to learn forever. "With such a recognition, it can be said that it is worth the trip.
After coming out of Ouyang Inquiry Cultural Park, I participated in the "Chinese and Foreign Writers Exchange Camp" to donate books to Lei Feng's hometown Shutang Middle School. The purpose of this activity is to treat children as hopes for the future, let them learn from Lei Feng, and develop the habit of reading and reading good books. In the modern society with the rapid development of science and technology, this is a very meaningful activity to provide spiritual nutrition for cultivating outstanding talents needed for the future development of the country. Nearly a thousand books donated by the writers have brought great encouragement to the children.
Then we came to the town of Qiaokou. This is the birthplace of the history and culture of an ancient town with a history of more than 5,000 years. The "Three Sages Ancestral Hall" in Qiaokou Ancient Town is a memorial hall for Qu Yuan, Jia Yi and Du Fu, with statues of the three of them and some cultural relics. Du Fu came to Qiaokou when he entered Xiang from Sichuan and created the poem "Entering Qiaokou", which is an important part of the history and culture of Wangcheng and one of the "business cards" of Wangcheng.
Walking on the streets of the ancient town, what impressed me most was the life full of fireworks in the alleys, including small shops selling local specialties, pottery shops, snack bars, etc. there is a strong southern street atmosphere. The people who live here, the scene of harmonious coexistence, let me feel that this colorful ancient town has its own soul story, but also its own rhythm of life. If you want to know more about Qiaokou Ancient Town, a day is obviously not enough, but everywhere I go, I feel new and interesting, frequently pressing the shutter of the camera, leaving many beautiful scenery with the lens.
Before coming to Wangcheng, I had already visited several ancient towns, such as: Pingyao Ancient City in Shanxi, Lijiang and Dali in Yunnan, and Hongcun Town in Huangshan, Anhui. The character style of Qiaokou Ancient Town is unique, and when I visited, I was surrounded by a strong cultural atmosphere, and I even had a bit of a feeling of "crossing" - also illusory, true, and sorry.
One of the things that made me happiest was the local flower drum play. I had never watched traditional Chinese drama before, and after watching the flower drum drama, I thought that Local Chinese drama was a very interesting performing art.
Unlike Qiaokou Ancient Town, Tongguan Ancient Town is not only beautiful in scenery, but also in the course of more than 1,500 years of historical development, it was also the birthplace of the Maritime Silk Road, and the ceramics produced were sold to twenty-nine countries during the Tang Dynasty. The 162 pieces (sets) of ceramic relics in the shipwreck of the "Black Stone" exhibited at the Changsha Tongguan kiln museum witness the glorious history of the export of tongguan kiln ceramics. Standing in front of these quaint porcelain with Arabic ornaments, I couldn't help but make this association: "Before the BlackStone was not salvaged, no one would have thought that the precious porcelain sleeping on the seabed of this ship would become the most important evidence of the Maritime Silk Road, and thus shock the whole world!" Our lives are magical because of archaeological discoveries. "The only ancient kiln site that has completed development and protection work in Tongguan Ancient Town is Tanjiapo, and there are more than a dozen kiln sites around it waiting for the exploration and appraisal of the cultural relics department and the further development and protection work." I believe there will be more surprising discoveries, let's wait and see.
When visiting the Lei Feng Memorial Hall, I wrote down this passage that Lei Feng said: "Nails have two advantages. One is 'squeeze' strength, and the other is 'drilling' strength. In learning, we must also advocate this 'nail' spirit, good at squeezing and drilling. ”
Lei Feng is a contemporary model of dedication and a model for Chinese people. In Lei Feng's life, there was no concept of "selfishness" and "self" at all. Lei Feng's goal in life is not only to put all his energy into his work, but to make indelible contributions to the country. Lei Feng is a good student, a good farmer, a good worker, and a good soldier. The spirit of Lei Feng is something that everyone must learn, and learning from him in any aspect can improve the basic quality of the individual. Lei Feng's 22-year life course makes people understand that whether it is study, work, interpersonal relations or filial piety to parents, we must be attentive and strive to be the best.
I was deeply moved by Lei Feng's deeds. Lei Feng encountered many difficulties in his life, but he was able to face them bravely, and after the death of his parents, he grew up with the help of the villagers and gradually became a model of dedication. Lei Feng's "nail" spirit is a driving force for people to pursue a perfect life. However, I think that being able to face difficulties bravely is the real development of the "nail" spirit.
All in all, participating in the Wangcheng style collection activity of this "Sino-foreign Writers Exchange Camp" opened my eyes. The beautiful scenery of Wangcheng and the simple local folk customs left an unforgettable impression on me. This was a precious experience for me, understanding and experiencing the cultural charm of another ancient Chinese town.
After three years in China, I have to leave Beijing several times a year, and every place I have visited has something unique. But in my heart, Wangcheng is the place where I gain the most, in addition to being influenced by the culture of China's ancient towns, I have also met many writers, some from Beijing and other places, and wangcheng local, and most importantly, I have had in-depth exchanges with writers from Belarus and Malaysia. Although three days was a short time, I was impressed by what I saw and experienced. It is worth mentioning that my relatives and friends in my home country Latvia were very interested in my participation in the style collection activities in Wangcheng this time, and they asked me to pass back the articles I wrote after this collection and introduce Chinese culture and art to Latvian readers.
It has been more than a month since I left Wangcheng, sitting in my residence in Beijing, silently reading Confucius's "Three Hu" famous sayings, recalling the words and deeds of famous Chinese and foreign writers, feeling that my heart is particularly ironed, Chinese like to say "learning is endless" and "threesomes, there will be my teacher", wangcheng trip let me harvest full, which will have an important impact on my future writing.
