GAC Group's vehicle sales hit record high in January Sales of new energy vehicles doubled

According to the data, GAC Group produced 218,600 vehicles in January, an increase of 14.0% year-on-year; sold 237,200 vehicles, an increase of 9.2% year-on-year; and terminal sales of 229,000 units, an increase of 10.7% year-on-year. A number of sub-brands have hit their own record highs and ushered in the opening of 2022.

According to statistics, in January, GAC Group produced 17,294 new energy vehicles, an increase of 96.08% year-on-year; sales of new energy vehicles were 19,121 units, an increase of 115.21% year-on-year. Industry insiders pointed out that there are two factors in the sales of head new energy automobile enterprises: one is that in the context of last year's lack of cores, the backlog of orders was delivered in January this year; second, the head effect appeared, and consumers' recognition of independent brands increased significantly. As the leader of the domestic new energy automobile industry, GAC Group will take the lead in benefiting from the recovery of the industry.

The growth of the energy-saving vehicle sector is also very obvious. In January, GAC Group's energy-saving vehicle sales reached 37,834 units, an increase of 72.95% year-on-year, accounting for 15.95% of the Group's total automobile sales, an increase of 5.88 percentage points over the same period last year.

In January, GAC Aeon continued its strong momentum in the past year, producing 14,601 vehicles in a single month, an increase of 98.7% year-on-year, and selling 16,031 vehicles, an increase of 117.9% year-on-year and 10.6% month-on-month. GAC Trumpchi also showed a steady growth trend, achieving production of 32,212 units in January, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year; sales reached 36,564 units, an increase of 6.3% year-on-year, an increase of 13.7% month-on-month, and terminals reached 39,963 units, an increase of 18.5% year-on-year.

2021 is a year in which GAC Trumpchi has stabilized and rebounded to achieve a comprehensive rebound. Since the second half of last year, GAC Trumpchi has successively launched new or replaced and medium-modified models such as Shadow Leopard EMMUNOW, GS4 PLUS and second-generation GS8, which have been recognized by the market with continuous improvement in product strength, driving annual sales to exceed 320,000 units, an increase of 10.35% year-on-year.
