As of 2021, BYD New Energy has accumulated sales of 1.5 million vehicles. Among them, in mid-May 2021, BYD New Energy accumulated sales of 1 million vehicles, and from May to December 2021, BYD New Energy sold 500,000 vehicles.

In other words, BYD's new energy sales target for 2022 is 1.5 million units! Challenge to double and grow more and more. Where is BYD's strength?

Judging from last year's achievements, 2021 is a year of rapid progress for BYD: the sales volume of all passenger cars reached 730093 units, an increase of 75.4% year-on-year, of which the annual sales of new energy passenger cars reached 593745 units, an increase of 231.6% year-on-year, ranking first in China's new energy vehicle sales.

BYD's performance at the beginning of the year was also eye-catching. In January this year, BYD sold a total of 95,180 vehicles, of which 92,926 new energy vehicles were sold, an increase of 367.6% year-on-year. Sales of plug-in hybrid models in January were 46,540 units, an increase of 760.58% year-on-year; sales of pure electric vehicles were 46,386 units, an increase of 220.72% year-on-year.

According to other sources, BYD still has up to 300,000 orders to be delivered.

Facing 2022, BYD has a clear product plan and will launch 20 new energy models: dynasty, ocean, denza and high-end brands.

Among them, seals and sea lions are expected to be listed in the second and fourth quarters of this year. BYD's high-end brand is likely to be released at the Beijing Auto Show in April, and the forecast price is 50-1 million yuan, and even exceed 1 million yuan.

In addition to serving 3 million new energy vehicle users and challenging the sales target of 1.5 million vehicles, BYD also expressed its determination in many aspects. For example, continue to open up overseas markets and reach more countries and regions.

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, BYD exported a total of 15,180 vehicles of various types in 2021, an increase of 230.94% year-on-year. Especially in the field of new energy commercial vehicles, BYD has a very strong product strength and industry influence.

2021 is also the first year that BYD's new energy passenger cars go to sea: In December last year, BYD successfully delivered the 1,000th Tang EV in Norway, taking an important step in the overseas passenger car market.

Another example is to ensure that production capacity and delivery can keep up. Following the official commissioning of the Changzhou plant in January this year, the plants in Fuzhou, Changsha, Hefei and Xi'an will all start production.

At present, Xi'an Phase 1 and Phase 2 implement the extreme two shifts, with a maximum daily production of 2500 vehicles. Therefore, in 2022, BYD's production capacity will be greatly increased, alleviating the pressure of delivery and ensuring the annual doubling sales target.

At the same time, BYD will also appoint a "new executive", the chief pet fan officer, to work intensively on user operations and services, emphasizing brand rejuvenation and user image reshaping.
