The new courtyard of Henan Museum is expected to become another large landmark on the banks of Xianghu Lake in Zhengzhou.
In an interview with reporters, Tian Kai, director of the Henan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, revealed that in addition to the new courtyard of the Henan Museum, in 2022, Henan will also focus on promoting the construction of nine projects, such as the new courtyard of the Henan Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, the Yellow River National Museum, the Yin Ruins Museum, the Chinese Character Museum Phase II, the Sui and Tang Grand Canal Museum, the Cao Cao Gaoling Museum, the Dahecun National Archaeological Site Park, the Yangshao National Archaeological Site Park, and the Eyu Yu-Anhui Soviet District Capital Revolution Memorial Hall.
In addition, in the "14th Five-Year (2021-2025) Plan for the National Economic and Social Development of Henan Province and the Outline of Long-term Goals for 2035", it is mentioned that Henan should build a historical and cultural landmark of the Yellow River.
