Bordighera is a seaside town in The Ligurian region of Italy, located at the foot of the Maritime Alps on the border with Italy and France, just 30 km from Nice. The climate is mild throughout the year, with average temperatures in winter ranging from 5°-14°.

Bordighera is rich in monuments, churches and museums, the promenade is about 2 km long, and walking on the beach and lying on the beach is a particularly good holiday experience. The ancient city center, called Bordighera Alta, is geographically higher and still retains ancient defensive structures, surrounded by medieval city walls, irregular pentagons, which were reinforced in the 16th century.

Access to the old city centre used to take place through three gates: porta del Capo, Porta Soprana and Porta Sottana, with dense alleys and small squares dotting the network.
