Hu Junnan: The wonderful Danzhou coast

Snow-white waves lapped at the black-gray volcanic rocks along the beach, stirring up gusts of water. The turquoise seaweed in the water sways with the waves, the milky white shells open and close, and the translucent small fish swim lightly in the seaweed forest in the water, letting the seaweed gently brush over their bodies. All of this together has made up Danzhou's beautiful, lovely and colorful coastline.

It was another sunny day, and our family drove tens of kilometers to the coast of Eman Town. A shell beach stretching for hundreds of meters, connected to a huge, uneven reef group.

I crossed a narrow mountain path and rushed towards the reef. When I looked closer, I realized that the reefs were volcanic rocks. Seeing these huge volcanic rocks with potholes, I seem to have experienced the scene when this spectacle was formed millions of years ago: a steaming river of magma slowly flowing down the steep stone wall, over the beach, into the sea, making a loud "nourishing" sound, and a cloud of smoke from the sky drilled out of the sea, as if the whole ocean was going to evaporate rapidly.

When the steam dissipates and the magma temperature cools, huge volcanic rocks rise up on the coastline. Those volcanic rocks are covered with small holes, and the whole body is inky black, giving people a heavy sense of oppression. These reefs are unpredictable in my mind, forming a unique abstract painting. After staying in "Colorful Bay" for half a day, he quickly stepped up his horse and whip to the next place - "Dragon Gate Fluxus". The name "Dragon Gate Fluxus" comes from the "Dragon Gate" there - a huge cave more than 20 meters long and more than 10 meters wide. The steep walls of the "Dragon Gate" are covered with red stones, giving people a crumbling feeling. Directly below the top of the cave lay several moss-covered stones that had been "carved" into slender lines by the wind, piled together to form a hill.

The ground is paved with many gravel and there are several small depressions filled with water. "It is the wind and rain that have been blowing for many years to create such a natural wonder." Mom said to me. I felt the magic and magical power of nature. Walking through the path in the middle, a vast sea suddenly opened up to me: on the blue sea, the reefs gathered into two small islands, continuing into the deep sea. Today, the wind and waves are calm, and the water waves are not happy. The beach is also covered with bits and pieces of volcanic rock, like stones that have been magnified several times. Through the reef, you can also faintly see the blades of the wind turbine slowly turning. In the "forest" of reefs, I played to the fullest. Unconsciously, the time passed minute by minute, and soon it was time to go home.

Although happy times are always short-lived, this trip gave me an insight into the exquisite power of nature. Even back home, my mind still echoes through the picturesque coastal shoals. But in the hidden corners that we hardly notice, there is a lot of garbage scattered, cigarette butts, plastic bags, water bottles, paper towels and so on. This garbage is very polluting to nature, and if we do not stop it in time, it will cause serious damage to the environment. The Great Barrier Reef, Palau Jellyfish Lake, Mount Everest... These places are due to human pollution and lead to a certain deterioration of the environment.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." I hope that each of us will start from now on, starting from the bits and pieces around us, to protect our Mother Earth and maintain the ecological environment!
