It is reported that the Pengshan North Comprehensive Passenger Transport Hub officially started construction in July 2021, consisting of two major operating entities of passenger transport and bus, on the basis of transforming the existing station square, a new comprehensive passenger transport hub station building, supporting rooms, parking departure areas, charging areas and other supporting facilities have been built. The project covers a total area of about 110 acres, with a total investment of about 110 million yuan. Pengshan North Comprehensive Passenger Transport Hub Station connects the high-speed rail Pengshan North Station and the Automobile Passenger Transport Center, which is a comprehensive passenger transport hub connecting Chengle Expressway and high-speed rail, integrating long-distance passenger transport, bus, taxi and social vehicles, with more perfect functional facilities, and citizens traveling to achieve zero transfer of various modes of transportation, and travel is more convenient.
"At present, the main structure of the project hub station building, equipment room and maintenance house has been basically completed, and the underground pipe network, the road subgrade bridge of the outbound road, the maintenance house, the hub station building wall masonry and other ancillary projects are being carried out, and it is planned to complete the construction and put into use by the end of May this year." The relevant person in charge of the project construction site said that after the completion of the Pengshan North Comprehensive Passenger Transport Hub Station, it will not only help accelerate the establishment of a comprehensive transportation system, improve the quality of the city, improve the urban function, but also undertake the function of tourist distribution in the area. It will also form a dual-center radiation form of Pengshan in the eastern slope with the comprehensive passenger transport hub of Meishan East Station, and build the integration of public transportation in the central urban area of Pengshan and Meishan.
