Recently, the "Return to See Your Own Mountain: Lin Feng Customs and the Exploration of lingnan landscape painting language exploration" sponsored by Guan Shanyue Art Museum was opened until February 27. This exhibition exhibits more than 80 works by Lin Feng.
Lin Fengfeng was an outstanding Chinese painter and art educator. As one of the first batch of Chinese landscape painting professional painters trained by the Chinese painting teaching system of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts with Lingnan regional characteristics in New China, he was personally taught by Guan Shanyue and Li Xiongcai of the Lingnan School, and at the same time, he was able to widely absorb the artistic nutrients of other different genres under the college system, and form his own independent thinking and unique artistic style. While inheriting the Lingnan School's emphasis on sketching traditions and reform and innovation, it also integrates new concepts and new forms of literati brush and ink, folk art and modern art language since modern times, and forms its own distinct artistic style through long-term sketching activities.

Although the scenic scenery of the famous mountain has an extraordinary uniqueness, the kindness and warmth of the ordinary family mountain seem to be the motivation that inspires Him and the "peach blossom source" that lin Feng customs explores in his heart. After going out of the academy, returning to the countryside, traveling the world and settling in the lakes and mountains, Lin Feng customs changed from youth to middle age, gradually matured, cultivated from the academy, and experienced social tempering, he began to gradually find a landscape painting exploration path that was compatible with his personal interests. He once laughed at himself for "traveling thousands of miles and half the world, and returning to see his own mountain." Based on his special feelings for "his own mountain", he used his own way, on the basis of the original emphasis on sketching in the Lingnan School, focusing on the combination of pen and ink language and form, breaking the barriers of literati pen and ink, absorbing folk colors, and integrating modern visual concepts, thus forming his own appearance. On the one hand, he portraitizes the trees through the portrayal of the unique tree images of Lingnan; on the other hand, he excavates the poetry in the scenery of ordinary mountain villages.

Chen Xiangbo, director of Guan Shanyue Art Museum, said that this exhibition is based on The new Chinese paintings of Lin Feng customs in recent years by Guan Shanyue Art Museum, discussing the innovative practice of Lin Feng customs in the language of Lingnan landscape painting in the 1960s and 1980s, focusing on his life practice experience and artistic exploration process, divided into four major sections: "from college to countryside", "traveling thousands of miles", "between lakes and mountains" and "where is the family mountain". Through the investigation of the theme and theme of the work and the realistic landscape environment, as well as the linkage relationship between the works, documents and manuscripts, and through the artist's tempering of different themes and the interactive relationship and change from real scene to sketching to re-creation, the painter's creative practice process and the exploration of the language of Lingnan's native landscape painting are presented.

In Chen Xiangbo's view, the systematic collection and research of Lin Feng's traditional Chinese paintings has enriched the collection system of Guan Shanyue Art Museum's "Guan Shanyue and the Study of Chinese Art in the Mid-to-Late 20th Century", especially the collection system of modern Lingnan Chinese paintings. It is also expected that through the continuous advancement of the collection research work, more outstanding works of fine arts can be included in the collection, the research results will be promoted to the public in the form of exhibitions and publications, academic research results will be shared, the excellent Chinese culture and Lingnan traditional culture will be promoted, the cultural construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be promoted, and the charm and influence of Chinese civilization will be highlighted in the opening up.
