Update on the situation of the novel coronavirus pneumonia as of 24:00 on February 7

From 0 to 24:00 on February 7, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 105 new confirmed cases. Among them, there were 40 imported cases (18 cases in Guangdong, 15 cases in Shanghai, 3 cases in Sichuan, 1 case in Beijing, 1 case in Tianjin, 1 case in Henan, 1 case in Guangxi), including 10 cases from asymptomatic infected people to confirmed cases (5 cases in Guangdong, 3 cases in Sichuan, 1 case in Beijing, 1 case in Henan), 65 local cases (64 cases in Guangxi, all in Baise City; 1 case in Tianjin, in Hebei District), including 4 cases from asymptomatic infected people to confirmed cases (all in Guangxi). There were no new deaths. There were no new suspected cases.

On the same day, 127 new cured and discharged cases were cured, 2313 close contacts were released from medical observation, and the number of severe cases decreased by 1 case compared with the previous day.

There are 663 confirmed cases imported from overseas (including 1 severe case), and there are no existing suspected cases. The cumulative number of confirmed cases is 12,788, the cumulative number of cured and discharged cases is 12,125, and there are no deaths.

As of 24:00 on February 7, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are 1,473 confirmed cases (including 5 severe cases), 100415 cured and discharged cases, 4,636 cumulative deaths, 106524 confirmed cases and no existing suspected cases. A total of 1547273 close contacts have been traced, and 42,525 close contacts are still under medical observation.

31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 46 new cases of asymptomatic infection, of which 42 cases were imported from abroad and 4 cases were local (2 cases in Heilongjiang, both in Heihe City; 2 cases in Guangxi, both in Baise City); 14 cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day (10 cases imported from abroad); 36 cases were released from medical observation on the same day (30 cases imported from abroad); and 872 cases of asymptomatic infected people were still under medical observation (766 cases imported from abroad).

A total of 34,297 confirmed cases were reported from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, there were 15,026 cases in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (13,232 cases discharged from hospital, 213 deaths), 79 cases in Macao Special Administrative Region (79 cases discharged from hospital), and 19,192 cases in Taiwan Region (13,742 cases discharged from hospital, 851 deaths).
