After the seventh day of the first lunar month, the entire first month is only the fifteenth day of the first month. However, in many places in the folk, the ninth day of the first lunar month is also a relatively important day.
The ninth day of the first lunar month is known as the "Ninth Day", and it is also the birthday of the Jade Emperor, so people hold various ceremonies on this day to celebrate the birthday of the Jade Emperor.
This day is the birth of the Jade Emperor, so the folk also gave birth to a lot of customs, the old ancestor said that the first nine days of the day there are "two taboos and a lot", what does it mean?
"Two taboos" refers to the fact that because of the arrival of the Jade Emperor, many taboos were born, and among so many taboos, two taboos are the most important.
One is to avoid taking unclean things outside.
Folk people believe that on the ninth day of the first year, you can't take some unclean things outside. For example, on this day, people's face washing water cannot be poured on the ground, so as not to dirty the face of the Jade Emperor; for example, folk believe that on the ninth day of the first lunar month, the open-air place cannot be cleaned, and even the garbage cleaned out of the house cannot be poured out, and it needs to be poured out the next day; for example, it cannot be dried, especially intimate clothes, of which women's clothes are even worse.
Even, people say, you can't defecate on this day, and so on!
The old ancestor's exquisiteness was to avoid these unclean things and defile the Jade Emperor.
The second is to avoid slaughtering.
Folk believe that the seventh day of the first lunar month is the human day, the eighth day of the first lunar month is the valley day, the ninth day of the first lunar month is the day of the day, and the tenth day of the first month of the lunar calendar is the earth day. Therefore, at the beginning of the first month, the Ninth Jade Emperor celebrates his birthday, and the whole world celebrates! Therefore, in the early morning of the ninth day of the first month, people began to prepare offering tables and sacrifice the Jade Emperor.
However, although the three animals will be sacrificed on this day, they are often prepared before the ninth day of the first year, and when the first nine arrives, people will not kill again.
Such customs were actually influenced by Taoism. Taoism regards the ninth day of the first lunar month as the birthday of the heavenly public, so Taoism will hold sacrifices, and in order to show the benevolence of the Jade Emperor, it stipulates that slaughter is prohibited on this day.
"Two taboos" refers to two things that cannot be done on this day. However, the birth of the Jade Emperor is a very auspicious thing, so the people will use this auspiciousness to do "a lot" of things.
The old ancestors often said that "seven is not out, eight is not returning, and there are a lot of things on the ninth day", which means that it is best not to go out to do things on the seventh day of the first year, because even if you do it on this day, you can't do it well. The "eight no returns" says that the eighth day of the first year is a good day to get rich, and it is best not to go home on this day.
And the reason why people think that "there are a lot of things to do in the ninth place" is because this day is the birth anniversary of the Jade Emperor, so everything will be done well and will be blessed by the Jade Emperor. Therefore, people will put some difficult things on the ninth day of the first year.
At the same time, the ancestors of the people also believe that when people worship the New Year, they must finish worshiping before the ninth day of the first year, so that they will appear close. After the ninth year of the new year, people will feel that the new year is late. Therefore, many elderly people will regard the ninth day of the first year as the day of doing things, not only to do things, but also to rush to finish the unfinished Year!
This custom of folk ancestors is actually a prayer for the Jade Emperor to bless the netherworld, to bless the people, to make the wind and rain smooth, to make their own four seasons safe, and to make all the worlds rich!
But in fact, this is just a simple and beautiful wish of the old ancestors.
