Entering the Winter Olympic Park, the square at the starting point of the marathon base camp, the sculpture "Snow Child" with a square head and a square brain has become an Internet celebrity punch point in the park, attracting many citizens to take photos. "Although it does not have the distinction between expression, eyes and nose, gender, age and occupation, it is a minimalist way to make people feel united and fraternal." A citizen said excitedly.
"The Snow Child who traveled around the world is home!" Liu Yang, the author of the sculpture, introduced in a pun: "'Snow Child' is a cultural messenger connecting the world, and his brothers are scattered all over the world. "The Snow Child in The Embrace" was built in the Chuvash Republic of Russia, "The Snow Child Holding Hands" was built on the beautiful shores of Lake Baikal, and "Thinking Snow Child" was built in hoyer, a small town on the border between Denmark and Germany..."
Liu Yang said, "I was born in Harbin. Over the years, more than 70 public sculptures have been designed for more than 30 countries, but I hope to build the best sculptures in China. ”

Coming to the Huahaixiang Scenic Area, a 3-meter-high stainless steel sculpture - "Lyrical Information" attracted many tourists. The sculptural rounded form expresses the concept of unity and integration.
Ilkar Jardemqi, a Turkish designer who designed sculptures for the Beijing Olympic Park in 2008, said: "I am honored to design sculptures for the two Olympic Games in China. The main body of the sculpture is a huge stainless steel ball and a piece of DNA spiral structure, which is unified with the surrounding environment with its dynamic rotating shape. I hope that those who see this sculpture will recognize the great role that the Olympic Games have brought to the unity of mankind and the development of the world. ”
It is understood that two years ago, the public art works of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games launched a public collection for the world, and artists from more than 50 countries and regions submitted 1611 application plans. In the end, 15 sculptures from 6 countries were selected, and 15 sculptures are currently laid out along the park's race route.
It is reported that these sculptures are the artistic carriers for exchanging the culture of the Winter Olympics and transmitting the olympic spirit, and will also become a cultural and artistic heritage left by the Winter Olympics to Beijing.
