At the same time, unlike traditional car manufacturers, which also saves it a lot of costs, Tesla also added: "We believe that our current projects, including large castings, structural battery packs, 4680 batteries and many other projects, will help us continue to minimize product costs."
In addition, it is worth noting that Tesla's Q4 financial report shows that Tesla's total gross profit reached $4.847 billion, the overall gross profit margin was 27.4%, and the gross profit margin of the bicycle was as high as 30.6%. In contrast, luxury brand cars generally have higher gross margins for bicycles, with Porsche at 16.7% and Ferrari at 18%, but Tesla is almost twice as high as Porsche.
While the vast majority of Tesla sales are contributed by the Model 3 and Model Y, the figure of $36,000 is also quite impressive, given the starting price of Tesla's current product line. In the U.S., Tesla's cheapest entry-level model, the Model 3, starts at $449.9 million, the Model Y starts at $589.9 million, and the new Model S and X start at $949.9 million and $1,049.9 million, respectively. In addition, the price of new cars is still rising.
In China, Tesla's cheapest entry-level model Model 3 starts at 265652 yuan after subsidies, and the model Y starts at 301840 yuan, and the price of new cars also has a clear upward trend.
