"Dancing with Haidian Culture, Welcoming the New Year in Haidian" special cultural experience activities were held

More than 40 dance art enthusiasts from Haidian District, including representatives of Beijing role models, employees of cultural and technological enterprises, teachers, primary and secondary school students, and community residents, gathered together to participate in the special cultural experience activity of "Dancing with Haidian Culture and Welcoming the New Year in Haidian", experiencing dance art at close range, feeling the charm of Haidian culture, and welcoming the arrival of the Spring Festival and the Winter Paralympic Games.

At the event, Liu Zhen, a famous dancer, national first-class actor, vice chairman of the Beijing Dancers Association and director of the Zhongguancun International Dance Center, led the dance lovers to visit the Haidian Dance Art Exhibition, and introduced the creative background and creative process of the three original dance dramas produced by Haidian District, "If Life Is Only like the First Sight", "Cao Xueqin" and "The Great Wall". A pair of worn-out dance shoes, a stage design sketch full of tension, a dance suit soaked in sweat and blood, and exhibits tell everyone about the process of dance drama from birth to full wings. Subsequently, everyone watched the dance drama "Cao Xueqin", "Dream Back to Jiangning" and "Sabre" dance sections, and came to the dance rehearsal room to experience learning. "Dream back to Jiangning" is the second act of the dance drama "Cao Xueqin" "empty labor concern" women's group dance, showing the lonely Cao Xueqin dream back to Jiangning to remember the happy life before falling in the family road, ladies need to wear Qing Dynasty flag suits and inch shoes for difficult dance movements, showing the softness and warmth of Jiangnan women, with the beauty of memory to set off the reality of the fall. The "Sabre" dance is the third act of the "Like a Dream" male group dance, the whole dance is magnificent, the movements are wide open, and Cao Xueqin, who shows her talent and is appreciated, is full of ambition and infinite reverie for the future.

The experience includes both elderly and bearded children, as well as dance teachers with certain basics and enthusiasts who are trying it for the first time. As soon as the music sounded, everyone concentrated on dancing with the rhythm of the body, the women's posture was elegant as the wind swinging willow, the men's sonorous and powerful as a mountain, everyone felt the rhythmic beauty of the dance in the experience, and they were deeply infected by the emotions, concepts and spirit conveyed by the dance drama. It is reported that in early March 2022, these experiencers will be invited to the National Centre for the Performing Arts to watch the wonderful performance of the dance drama "Cao Xueqin", and dance lovers with excellent performances will also have the opportunity to participate in the performance.

Haidian District is an important bearing area for the capital to build a national cultural center. In recent years, Haidian District has deeply excavated the cultural resources and dance art resources in the district, continuously improved the degree of organization of dance art creation and production, and made useful explorations and practices for shaping a new cultural business card of the capital with international influence and promoting the characteristic culture of Haidian region. This special cultural experience activity is an innovative attempt by the Propaganda Department of the Haidian District Party Committee to implement the work requirements of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee "Big Drama to See Beijing" and strengthen the popularization and dissemination of dance art, and is an important part of the cultural activities of the 2022 Spring Festival Lantern Festival in Haidian District, making positive contributions to the promotion of the Chinese national festival culture.

It is understood that the Zhongguancun International Dance Center was officially put into operation in 2019.
