Write poems that shine in the spirit of the times

The new era calls for excellent poetry works, and also provides a broad space for poetry creation. This is my outstanding feeling after reading the book "Initial Heart, Red Flag and New Journey - Selected Excellent Works of Poetry in the New Era" (hereinafter referred to as "Selected Poems in the New Era") selected and compiled by the "Poetry Journal".

This selected poem contains 107 poems of length and length, as expressed in the title of the book "Initial Heart, Red Flag and New Journey", the work focuses on the hot land under the feet and the brilliant achievements of the mainland since the reform and opening up, praises the glorious course of the Communist Party of China in uniting and leading the Chinese people, and praises the dedication and sacrifice made by revolutionary martyrs, reform pioneers, and models of the times to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The content of the whole book is magnificent, including works that are in the scene of the times, such as "Tribute, Heavy Weapon of a Big Country", "In Front of china's First Oil Well on Land", "Poverty Alleviation: The Route of Spring", as well as works that look back at the depths of history such as "Red Boat", "Red Fire Thorn at Loushan Pass", "At the Zunyi Conference Site", and "The Sea of Xiapu", "Summer Night in the Free Trade Port", "Spring High-speed Rail Station" and other works that show the pace of China's development in a small way, which are epic, lyrical and documentary.

Since the Book of Poetry, the Chinese poetry tradition has a deep sense of reality. "Articles are written for the times, songs and poems are written for the sake of things", the creators have closely linked the personal "small self" with the "big me" of the country and the nation, created a large number of excellent works, inspired generation after generation of Chinese the wind and rain, determined to move forward, after a hundred years of hard work, this land has undergone earth-shaking changes. It can be said that this great era itself is a heroic epic that moves the world, calling on poets to devote themselves to it, resonate with the times, dig deep into history and reality, and write poems that shine with the spirit of the times.

Opening the "Selected Poems of the New Era", we can read such a scene: the poet relies on the speeding high-speed train, looks at the vicissitudes of history in the past hundred years, looks at the great changes in the mountains and rivers of the motherland, sees the youthful vitality, the take-off of science and technology, and the unity of all people; can read the picture that condenses the emotions of the times: "I was immediately attracted by those smiles, deeply / attracted, in the village committee of the eighteen-hole village, on the / on the whole wall, the smiles of the eighteen-hole villagers / Like the flowers that spread across the mountains at this moment / Brilliantly opened." Poets capture and move beauty from the great changes of the times, such as the poem "Mission" in the year of Long Hongnian, written about the mountain keeper who has been in the mountains for 63 years: "I must arrive before dark." I carry / These lights and warmth, I will hand it up with both hands / I will hold his hand tightly "... The poet also strives to "reproduce" the huge production of the era with poetry, such as Long Xiaolong's large-scale group poem "In the Name of the Light Chaser", writing the light chaser who shoulders the mission of independent research of microelectronic information technology, and carefully depicting the production site and process flow through chapters such as "Furnace Fire", "Running Load", "Smelting", "Photovoltaic, Photovoltaic", etc., and lyrical writing about a special industry in the form of poetry.

"Selected Poems of the New Era" once again proves that the great era is the source of inspiration and enthusiasm for poets. Poetry creators pay attention to drawing nutrition from the fiery life of the new era, and consciously give back to the times with literary and artistic creation, sing songs for the times, write lyrics for the people, and consciously play an important role in poetry in cultivating sentiments, enlightening the soul and cohesive force. To be a faithful recorder of the great era and provide strong spiritual support for the new journey of the new era - compared with this goal, contemporary poetry represented by "Selected Poems of the New Era" still needs to improve the level of creation, further explore the forms of expression that the people like to hear, and with a sense of reverence for the poetic tradition, constantly deliberate and temper, and come up with fine works that better match the times.

Those classics that have been recited through the ages and are popular with the population have distinct characteristics in terms of emotion, language, form, connotation, and artistic conception. On the basis of inheriting the rich poetic tradition, poetry creation in the new era should further respond to the great era with literature, write Chinese stories, and highlight Chinese style and style.
