Mazda CX-50 overseas roll-off production from Toyota and Mazda jointly built factories

Recently, Mazda CX-50 was put into operation at its plant in the United States. The new model is destined for the North American market and is produced at a plant jointly built by Toyota and Mazda, and is the first Mazda model to roll off the production line at the plant.

Mazda CX-50 debuted worldwide in November 2021, positioned higher than the CX-30, but based on a transverse front-drive platform, and competed in the United States for Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Nissan X-Trail and other models.

Due to the partnership with Toyota, the vehicle is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, while a 2.5T engine is also available. The two engines will be matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, which Mazda calls Mi-Drive, which offers Three Driving Modes: Normal, Sport and Off-Road; hybrid and electrified models are also planned.
