Recently, we learned from Bentley officials that Bentley will develop the first pure electric model and officially release it with 2025. At the same time, Bentley also announced that in the next decade, Bentley will invest 2.5 billion pounds in the field of sustainable development, or about 21.36 billion yuan.
The £2.5 billion investment will help the headquarters plant in Crewe, UK, further achieve its electrification goals. The plant currently employs around 4,000 people, from which all Bentley models come in. The investment will also enable the overall transformation of Bentley's entire product lineup and production facilities. The historic Crewe headquarters facility will become the world's leading next-generation digital factory with a reduced environmental impact by introducing industry-leading new facilities.
The first pure electric model of the Bentley brand is expected to roll off the production line in 2025, and the launch of the pure electric model is also a key step in the "Beyond 100" business strategy of the Bentley brand. This innovative strategy was launched in 2020 to drive the Bentley brand towards pure electrification and total carbon neutrality of all products by 2030.
