Central Broadcasting Network Guizhou January 26 news (reporter Zhou Xian) reporter learned from the Guizhou Provincial Health Commission that Guizhou will continue to provide a free physical examination for the elderly aged 65 and above in the province in 2022. In 2021, Guizhou Province has conducted free medical examinations for more than 2.9 million elderly people aged 65 and above.

According to relevant regulations, the elderly aged 65 and over in Guizhou Province can carry their ID cards to the nearest community health service center and township health center to receive free health management services once a year, mainly including lifestyle and health assessment, physical examination, auxiliary examination and health guidance.

It is understood that the elderly aged 65 and above can carry their IDENTITY cards to the nearest community health service center and township health center to receive free health management services once a year. The service content includes blood routine, urine routine, liver function, kidney function, fasting blood glucose, blood lipids, electrocardiogram and abdominal ultrasound and other indicators examination; medical staff to consult the health status of the elderly, understand the common symptoms of chronic diseases in the elderly, treatment and current medication, life self-care ability, etc., medical staff will also establish health files for key service groups such as hypertension and diabetes found in the physical examination process, and provide continuous services.

According to the data of the seventh national census, there are 4.4565 million elderly people aged 65 and above in Guizhou Province, accounting for 11.56% of the permanent population. More than 60% of the elderly over the age of 65 suffer from chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, and more than 1.2 million elderly people with advanced age, disability and semi-disability.
