I am 33 years old and went straight to a tertiary hospital after graduating from my bachelor's degree.

When I was admitted to the hospital, I was assigned to the emergency department because I was a fresh graduate without an occupational doctor's license, and I was doing all kinds of chores, busy and stressful.

Later, I really couldn't stand the work of the emergency department, so I asked to be transferred out of the emergency department, and at that time, the physical examination center was just on fire and was short of manpower, so I was transferred.

I have to say that the work of the physical examination center is more supportive, there is no night shift, there is no doctor-patient dispute, perhaps because of my personal personality and situation, I also prefer this kind of "comfortable" work.

Job content

The medical examination center of our hospital is on a separate floor, and all medical examinations can be completed on this floor.

I am mainly responsible for the coordination of the entire department, including the appointment of physical examination personnel, the coordination of doctors in charge of physical examination in various departments, the registration of medical examination personnel on the day of physical examination, and the implementation of some hospital rules and regulations.

There are doctors and nurses in our department, but there are only a few doctors who really belong to the physical examination center, most of them are doctors who have clinical experience but do not want to work in the clinic, and even those like me who have not been admitted to the practicing doctor for many years have applied for transfer to the physical examination center, of course, no one can go, there will be many factors to consider.

The doctors of the physical examination center are responsible for integrating the results of the physical examination and issuing a report, and in recent years, the medical qualification examination has been strict, and the doctors without a practicing physician's certificate can only do chores or have the joint signature of the doctor at the next higher level to issue a report.

Most of the doctors in the physical examination center are temporarily transferred, such as color ultrasound, examination, radiology, etc., all of which are scheduled by their respective departments and who is on duty.

If there are many people who are about to be examined, we will also hire another doctor according to the actual situation, which may be a off-duty person or other hospital.

The salaries of the doctors who are invited are calculated according to the number of times, which is higher than the salaries of the normal scheduled personnel, and I am also responsible for counting the workload of these normal doctors on duty and the doctors who are invited outside, and settling them together at the end of the month.

There are more nurses than doctors in the physical examination center, and they are mainly responsible for the reception, registration, and entry of results of medical examiners.

Salary package

My hospital belongs to the top three, but the scale is relatively small in the district three.

The salary of all the owners of the physical examination center is the same as that of the entire hospital, divided into personnel and non-establishment, and the treatment is also different according to the level of professional title and education.

The salary of the undergraduate degree in the establishment is about 5000+, the contract system is a little worse than 3000+, the provident fund is not the same, the establishment is 4000+, the contract system is 2500+, and then according to the title, the higher level of salary provident fund is increased by about 1000 each.

There is also a kind of scarce talent in the hospital that is more capable, such as the age is too old to be examined, or it is particularly prominent in some aspects, and the hospital negotiates conditions when admitted, and the equal pay for equal work within the establishment, this part of the people is only less pension in the future than the staff in the establishment, and the rest of the benefits are the same.

All personnel bonuses are calculated separately, and the bonuses of the personnel of the physical examination center are determined according to the overall income of the department in the month, generally 2000 to 5000.

The income taken by other doctors on duty at the physical examination center is calculated according to the number of physical examinations or the number of items, and the performance is different depending on the project.

Take the ultrasound doctor as an example, the outpatient duty, the report is detailed and the examination is done 10-20 minutes to produce a report, a cost of 100 yuan of examination, the average bonus of about 3 yuan.

In this kind of small tertiary hospital, the most powerful ultrasound doctor can do eight or nine thousand workloads a day, and when there are many patients, the general general doctors have a workload of four or five thousand a day, and the total bonus is more than one hundred yuan a day.

In the physical examination center, the report is relatively simple, most of the physical examiners do not have too many physical problems, basically routine examination.

Even many retired workers, cadre physical examinations, employee physical examinations, etc. have a history in the hospital, and it is very convenient to check.

An experienced doctor, doing 150-200 items in a morning is not a problem, an average of 5 pieces, then a morning is almost 1000 yuan bonus.

General doctors do 70-80 items, and there are also three or four hundred pieces, which is much more cost-effective than the outpatient one-day shift.

Most of the staff in the medical examination center only have half a day, because most of the medical examiners require an empty stomach, so only the morning time is appropriate.

Individual doctors are on duty in the afternoon, responsible for integrating the results of the examination to produce a report, waiting for the person who has completed the physical examination to take it, and the general report can only be out for a week.

Therefore, the work of the physical examination center is relatively easy overall.

Under normal circumstances, the work of the physical examination center is relatively relaxed, the income is good, and the lack of night shift alone has made many people envious.

But after the epidemic came, it faced many tests.

For more than half a year in 2020, the physical examination center is closed, and for the hospital's self-financing fiscal policy, all bonuses rely on the income of various departments, and no patients means no bonuses.

Under the epidemic, the salaries of medical examination centers are decreasing, and there are no bonuses. As long as the epidemic comes, no matter how big or small the impact, the physical examination center will be closed, so in recent years, the income of the staff of the physical examination center has generally become lower.

And not only the income is reduced, doctors and nurses will also be sent out to do security work in various vaccination points, isolation and control areas, get up early and be greedy, and even leave the family business, there are some subsidies but it is far from proportional to the payment.

Therefore, in the absence of an epidemic, a medical examination center may be a good choice.
