South Korean media said in the latest report that BOE has set a goal of supplying OLED panels for the high-end version of the iPhone 15 next year.

In the report, the South Korean media also said that BOE hopes to achieve the goal of supplying OLED panels for the high-end version of the iPhone 15 by applying low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) technology to the production of OLED panels, and they will produce LTPO OLED panels at the B12 factory in Chongqing, which is BOE's latest OLED panel factory.

Apple began to use LTPO OLED panels that support a 120Hz refresh rate in the high-end version of the iPhone 13 launched last year, that is, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, which are exclusively supplied by Samsung Display.

South Korean media mentioned in the report that the B12 factory is BOE's third sixth-generation flexible OLED panel factory, which is divided into three phases, the first phase has been put into operation in the fourth quarter of last year, the second phase will be put into operation in the first half of this year, and the third phase is planned to be put into operation in the second half of the year. When completed, the monthly production capacity will reach 48,000 substrates, which is comparable to the B7 and B11 plants.
