Samsung will purchase 6.5 million OLED panels for mobile phones from BOE and Huaxing Optoelectronics

According to Mizuho Securities in Japan, Samsung expects to purchase 6.5 million smartphone OLED panels from BOE and Huaxing Optoelectronics this year, compared with only about 800,000 panels purchased by Samsung from these two companies last year. It is reported that this time Samsung will purchase 3.5 million units from BOE and 3 million units from Huaxing Optoelectronics.

According to Mizuho Securities analyst Yasuo Nakane, Samsung expects to purchase a total of 155.5 million smartphone OLED panels this year, including 149 million units in Samsung Display, accounting for 96% of the total, with the remaining 4% coming from BOE and Huaxing Optoelectronics. Last year, Samsung purchased a total of 140.8 million OLED panels, 99% of which came from Samsung Displays.
