Guiyang, September 25 (China News Network) -- The Guizhou and Mekong Countries Vocational Education To Help Rural Revitalization Seminar sponsored by the Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province and the Department of Education of Guizhou Province was held at the 2021 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week on the 25th.
The seminar aims to promote exchanges and cooperation between Guizhou Province and mekong countries, discuss with all parties new ideas for vocational education cooperation to help rural revitalization, and help Mekong countries further alleviate poverty and achieve rural revitalization.
Zhang Hanlin, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province, said that since the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation mechanism came into being, Guizhou has gathered the strengths of all sectors of society to participate in the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation with the development advantages of modern mountainous agriculture, the characteristic experience of vocational education, and the Spirit of Guizhou to overcome poverty, to help local development and promote people-to-people ties.

Zhang Hanlin said that Guizhou will continue to give full play to its own advantages to carry out extensive cooperation with the Mekong countries, hoping to actively play the advantages of vocational education, especially in the field of traditional Chinese medicine vocational education, and carry out in-depth cooperation with the Lancang-Mekong countries in the field of traditional medicine, such as traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment technology, the promotion and application of traditional Chinese medicine materials, etc., to help countries fight the new crown pneumonia epidemic, get rid of poverty and reduce poverty, jointly achieve rural revitalization, and contribute to the construction of the "Lancang-Mekong Community of Destiny".
Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to China, Kanpao Ntawan, affirmed the holding of the seminar. She said that the seminar will promote the development of vocational education in China and ASEAN. Laos attaches great importance to the development of vocational education, and the vocational education aided by China provides many learning opportunities for students in marginal mountainous areas. We will continue to move forward, do a good job as a bridge for cooperation between Laos and Guizhou, promote and deepen friendly relations between the two countries, and benefit the two peoples.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Ambassador Wang Fukang said that the LMC is a new type of sub-regional cooperation mechanism for China to discuss and share with the five Mekong countries, and has developed into the most dynamic and potential sub-regional cooperation mechanism, making important contributions to enhancing the well-being of the people of all countries and promoting regional prosperity and rejuvenation. Since 2020, in the context of the global spread of the covid-19 pandemic, the six countries have vigorously carried out anti-epidemic cooperation, worked together to promote economic recovery, deepened people-to-people exchanges, and ensured that the LMC maintains a high level of development.
Wang Fukang said that Guizhou and the Mekong countries are geographically close, close to each other, and have a good foundation for cooperation. It is believed that through this event, Guizhou will further mobilize its strength, work with relevant departments of the Mekong countries to exchange development experience, explore cooperation paths, tap the potential of cooperation, play an active role in promoting Guizhou Province's deep participation in the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation, help countries recover after the epidemic, and make new contributions to deepening the development of relations between China and the Mekong countries and building a higher level of China-ASEAN strategic partnership.
At the seminar, the Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province signed a memorandum of cooperation with the China-ASEAN Center. The Guizhou Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine jointly released the "Needle Ai Qianxing" brand for the Mekong River and other countries in the world at the seminar, and promoted the exchange and cooperation between Guizhou Province and the Mekong River and other countries in the field of traditional medicine by building a bridge for international exchanges and cooperation in traditional medicine.
It is understood that the "Needle Ai Qianxing" brand project aims to build a bridge with countries to carry out mutual learning and exchanges in traditional medicine, and actively promote Guizhou and foreign local governments, medical colleges, medical institutions, etc. to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results in traditional medicine talent training, cultural exchanges, medical cooperation, traditional medicine international trade, etc., and to build a human health community hand in hand. Guizhou will promote and implement the four main forms of talent training, laiqian health care experience, building a scientific research and clinical cooperation platform, and going abroad to carry out exchanges and cooperation.
