The Chaoyang District Veterans Affairs Bureau recently organized 310 district-level "Capital Veterans" volunteers to carry out special training for the Winter Olympics in the form of online live broadcast, covering "Winter Olympic Volunteer Service English", "Volunteer Service Spirit", "Winter Olympic Knowledge and Ice and Snow Sports", "The Power of Empathy", etc. Driven by the instructor, Chen Lu, China's first figure skating world champion and women's singles world champion, volunteers enthusiastically participated in learning and felt the concept of volunteer service with their hearts.

Veteran Tao Zhenguo volunteered at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. In September 2020, the Chaoyang District Veterans Affairs Bureau held the flag awarding ceremony of the "Capital Veterans" Volunteer Service Team, and Tao Zhenguo responded positively and participated in the "Capital Veterans" Volunteer Service Team in the streets of the Olympic Village and became a "Double Olympic" volunteer.
