Henan Province is a major grain province on the mainland and a major grain supply base on the mainland. Wheat, in particular, is supplied to many provinces in Henan Province. Henan Province has a total of 17 prefecture-level cities under its jurisdiction, namely: Zhengzhou City, Kaifeng City, Luoyang City, Pingdingshan City, Jiaozuo City, Hebi City, Xinxiang City, Anyang City, Puyang City, Xuchang City, Luohe City, Sanmenxia City, Nanyang City, Shangqiu City, Xinyang City, Zhoukou City, Zhumadian City. Each prefecture-level city has a different number of districts, counties, and county-level cities under its jurisdiction. Anyang has jurisdiction over 4 districts, 4 counties and 1 county-level city, with a total of 9 districts and counties, and belongs to the important town of northern Henan in Henan Province.
Anyang has an important geographical location and a long history, and has been a place where soldiers and families must fight since ancient times. From the Qin and Han dynasties to the Tang and Song dynasties, the Anyang area has always been an important town in the north, guarding the security of the Central Plains. Regarding the ownership of the Anyang area, it is even more long to say. During the reign of the Song Dynasty, the area around Anyang was always under the administration of Hebei West Road. During the reign of the Yuan Dynasty, it was also under the administration of Zhongshu Province. In other words, at this time, Anyang has always belonged to the management of the Hebei family, and the counties in the Zhanghuan River Basin were once a family.
In 1368, after Zhu Yuanzhang established the Ming Dynasty, he adjusted the division of the provinces out of his actual needs. In the end, the division of 13 provinces directly under the north and south was formed. From the early days of Ming rule, the counties under the jurisdiction of Anyang began to be under the administration of Henan Province, and continue to this day. In the mid-17th century, the Qing Dynasty gradually eliminated the various regimes of the Southern Ming Dynasty and the forces of the peasant rebel army, and established its rule over the whole country. And according to their own needs, they have adjusted the divisions of each province and formed a regional pattern of 18 provinces.
In Henan Province, various prefectures have been established, namely: Kaifeng Province, Chenzhou Province, Guide Province, Zhangde Province, Weihui Province, Huaiqing Province, Henan Province, Nanyang Province, Runing Province, Zhengzhou, Ruzhou, Xuzhou, Shaanzhou, and Gwangju. Among them, Zhangdefu is the predecessor of Anyang City. At that time, Zhangde Province had 7 counties under its jurisdiction, namely: Anyang County, Linzhang County, Neihuang County, Tangyin County, Lin County, Xiang County, and Wu'an County. As an important town in northern Henan Province, at the end of the Qing Dynasty's rule, the Nanyang New Army and the Beiyang New Army held the famous Zhangde Exercise in Zhangde Province.
In 1912, after the fall of the Qing Dynasty, the mainland entered a stage of warlord melee. Due to years of war, all parts of Henan have been greatly damaged. In the north of Henan and the south of Hebei, a large number of bandits were bred and brutally squeezed by the masses everywhere. Due to the long drought and locust plague, the people's life was very difficult. The Yellow River has been breaking and flooding for many years, forming a large area of yellow pan, which is also a big problem.
In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, with the end of the large-scale war, the mainland entered a period of post-war reconstruction, resumption of production, development and construction. In order to control the Yellow River and eliminate bandits, in 1949, the mainland established The Plain Province. Pingyuan Province consists of five counties in the south of Hebei Province, the area north of the Yellow River in Henan Province, and the northwestern part of Shandong Province. After the establishment of Pingyuan Province, it was divided into 6 special districts, namely: Anyang Special District, Xinxiang Special District, Puyang Special District, Heze Special District, Liaocheng Special District, and Huxi Special District.
After more than 2 years of hard work, the work of harnessing the Yellow River has come to an end, and the bandits in the border areas of the three provinces have been basically eliminated. In such a big environment, the value of the existence of the plains province has been greatly reduced. In 1952, Pingyuan Province was abolished, and among the 6 special districts under the jurisdiction of Pingyuan Province, Xinxiang Prefecture, Anyang Prefecture and Puyang Prefecture were placed under the administration of Henan Province. Among them, the five counties originally subordinate to Hebei Province, including Nanle County, Qingfeng County, Dongming County, Puyang County and Changyuan County, were also included in the administration of Henan Province.
In order to compensate for the losses of Hebei Province, in 1952, Henan Province assigned three counties of Anyang, including Xiangxian County, Linzhang County and Wu'an County, into the management of Handan Special District of Hebei Province. In fact, after this division, 2 problems have emerged. First, with the incorporation of Linzhang County into Hebei Province, there was a dispute over who the ancient city belonged to. Second, Wu'an County has just been assigned to Hebei Province, and it has discovered iron ore resources with very rich reserves. To this day, Wu'an county-level city is still a county-level city with relatively strong comprehensive strength among the counties under the jurisdiction of Handan City.
In 1954, after the Puyang Special District was abolished, some counties were placed under the administration of the Anyang Special District. At this time, Anyang Prefecture administered a large area of Anyang County, Lin County, Qi County, Tangyin County, Jun County, Puyang County, Nanle County, Qingfeng County, Neihuang County, and Huaxian County. In 1958, after the Anyang Special District was abolished, the counties under its jurisdiction were placed under the administration of the Xinxiang Special District. At this stage, the jurisdiction of the Xinxiang Special District was very large, and it managed almost the entire area north of the Yellow River. Of course, the area of the district is too large, and there are also problems in various aspects.
According to the level of transportation and communication in the 1950s and 1960s, there were too many districts and counties to manage, and it was difficult to manage at all. In 1961, anyang Special District was re-established. In April 1964, due to the actual needs of managing the Yellow River, Dongming County, under the jurisdiction of Kaifeng Special District of Henan Province, was placed under the administration of Shandong Province. At the same time, Shandong Province assigned its own Fan County to the administration of Anyang Special District in Henan Province, and the two sides basically belonged to the "change of land." "In the late 1960s, after all the special districts in the country were renamed as regions, The Anyang Special District was renamed Anyang District, and the jurisdictional division remained unchanged.
The zoning outline of Fan County is very narrow and long, and there is no small difficulty in management. Therefore, in 1975, Anyang Special District set up a Taiqian office (county level) in Taiqian Town, Fan County. In 1978, the Taiqian Office was renamed Taiqian County and continued to be under the administration of Anyang District. In the late 1970s, the mainland's economy began to develop at a sustained and high speed. In order to meet the needs of economic development, the various areas under the jurisdiction of Henan Province began to be adjusted to prefecture-level cities. The jurisdictions of some of the original prefecture-level cities began to be further expanded.
In 1983, after the establishment of Puyang Prefecture-level City, 7 counties under the jurisdiction of the former Anyang District, including Nanle County, Qingfeng County, Puyang County, Fan County, Taiqian County, Neihuang County, and Huaxian County, were assigned to the administration of Puyang City (in addition, Changyuan County, which was assigned to Xinxiang). In the same year, anyang prefecture-level city was established, and the five counties under the jurisdiction of the former Anyang District, including Anyang County, Lin County, Xun County, Tangyin County, and Qi County, were assigned to the administration of Anyang City. However, this zoning structure lasted only 3 years.
In February 1986, with the rise of Hebi City, Qi County and Xun County under the jurisdiction of Anyang City were assigned to the management of Hebi City. At the same time, Changyuan County, under the jurisdiction of Puyang City, was placed under the administration of Xinxiang City. Neihuang County and Huaxian County, which are under the jurisdiction of Puyang City, are under the administration of Anyang City. By this time, the outline of the zoning of Anyang City was basically formed. Compared with the original Zhangdeok Province, the zoning of Anyang City has undergone tremendous changes, and it has basically been divided into three.
First of all, Qi County and Xun County, which were originally under its jurisdiction, were placed under the administration of Hebi City. Originally, the subordinate counties of Xiangxian, Wu'an and Linzhang were subordinate to Handan City, Hebei Province. At present, Anyang city has jurisdiction over 9 districts and counties, namely: Wenfeng District, Beiguan District, Yindu District, Long'an District, Anyang County, Neihuang County, Tangyin County, Huaxian County, and Linzhou County-level Cities. Judging from the zoning map, the zoning of Anyang City resembles a long strip. Because of the two prefectures in the central region, it belongs to Hebi City. At that time, the people of Qi County and Xun County still liked to go to Anyang City.
