The feed mechanism and chain type is the same as the NSV machine gun, which is generally the right side feed, but it can also be changed to supply from the left side, such as the 6P51 of the coaxial machine gun type, which is the left side feed Korrd shell throwing method, and the NSV machine gun, is the front throw.
The shell casing was thrown forward from the short tube on the right side of the fuselage, and the Kord machine gun was equipped with a mechanical sight.
There is also a scope guide on the left side of the machine gun, which can be equipped with a variety of white light or night vision sighting devices, although the Korrd's appearance is very similar to the NSV, but in fact, the internal structure has been greatly changed, such as the improvement of the gas conduction system, and the recalculation of the muzzle brake.
This improvement makes Kord's recoil much lower than the NSV, although Kord's weight is the same as the NSV, but due to the low recoil, a 7 kg bipod is designed, the full gun weighs only 31 kg, plus the 50 rounds of the total weight of the chain is less than 40 kg.
It can be moved by only a strong soldier, and can be quickly placed in any position, without the need to build a special firing position, can be fired according to the gun like a "light machine gun", although it will be lower than the tripod state, and the shooting hit effect on long-distance targets will be reduced.
However, in a closer urban environment or forest, the bipod Kord is maneuverable and flexible, and can carry forward the firepower of the large-caliber machine gun and the advantage of the damage effect, which makes the gun very unusual.
