If Shanghai, a megacity, is an "organic life body", then the Lingang New Area of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone, the Hongqiao International Central Business District, the "Five New Cities" and other urban strategic new spaces and development key areas are the important organizations and organs of this "organic life body", which needs transportation "blood vessels" to transport element resources and nutrients. At the venue of the two sessions, many delegates paid attention to the traffic problems in these key areas.

The Minhang part of Hongqiao International Central Business District has a total of 48 square kilometers, of which 30 square kilometers are the Hongqiao Qianwan area, which is the new center of the "14th Five-Year Plan" construction of Hongqiao International Central Business District. The Qianwan area is planned to have two subway lines and an intercity railway line, the two subway lines are Rail Transit Line 13 (west extension) and Line 25, and the intercity railway line is the Shanghai Demonstration Area Line of the Urban Railway. Tang Shujian, a deputy to the Municipal People's Congress, paid attention to the fact that at present, it is difficult for the Qianwan area to support the development of provincial traffic arteries and lacks transportation links with the central urban area of Shanghai.

"The Shanghai Demonstration Zone Line is a major traffic artery to achieve cross-provincial interconnection, but fangle Road Station in qianwan area, as the starting point of the line, has limited transportation convenience and attractiveness." At present, the Hongqiao International Central Business District has built a developed external transportation system, but the transportation connection with the downtown area of Shanghai is still weak. Tang Shujian suggested that the plan for extending the shanghai demonstration area line east to the Hongqiao transportation hub should be studied as soon as possible, and it was suggested that the underground plan should be adopted to extend east along Fangle Road and connect to the Hongqiao transportation hub, so that the Qianwan area can have a direct rail connection with the Hongqiao transportation hub, connecting the Jiamin line of the urban railway and the rail transit lines 2, 10 and 17.

The G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway connects the Yangtze River Delta Eco-Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone, Qingpu New Town and Hongqiao Business District in an east-west direction, and is the first truly comprehensive expressway passage running through the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone, and is also an important ray highway in the city's expressway network. Zhang Lingyun, a deputy to the Municipal People's Congress, believes that compared with the G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway in terms of geographical location and important position in the high-speed road network, the existing road conditions have some deficiencies in terms of lane size and traffic operation service level.

"The construction scale of the middle section of the G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway is only two-way four lanes, which is the bottleneck section in the Shanghai high-speed highway network. In addition, there are normal traffic congestion at nodes such as Xujing Main Line Toll Station, Qingpu District and Jiasong Middle Road, affecting citizens' daily travel and healthy urban development. Zhang Lingyun suggested that the implementation of the G50 high-speed expansion and transformation project can be accelerated, the entrances and exits of the expressway can be increased, and the new reconstruction project of the relevant horizontal roads can be implemented synchronously, including the widening of 7 horizontal roads such as Peiya Road, Xicen Branch Road and Lianxi Highway, and 3 horizontal roads such as Fangnan Road, Jiachi Road-Zhifa Road, Zhao Xiang Road and Gaodeng Road.

Ping Ying, a deputy to the Municipal People's Congress, paid attention to the construction of lianggang avenue in the Lingang New Area. As an important external passage of Lingang New Area, the section of Pudong Airport to New Siping Highway on Lianggang Avenue has been completed and opened to traffic, and the S3 to New Siping Highway section has not yet started construction. "In order to build a fast external traffic channel, it is recommended to implement the rapid project of Lianggang Avenue (S3 to New Siping Highway) at the same time, and at the same time do a good job of engineering design and construction scheme connection with the G228 collinear section." This will greatly improve the external transportation network of Lingang New Area, which is conducive to the construction of an independent comprehensive node city in Nanhui New City and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. ”

Also concerned about commuting in the Yangtze River Delta region is Chen Feng, a deputy to the Municipal People's Congress. "In the major cities in the Yangtze River Delta, except for Nanjing, there are very few high-speed rail departures to Shanghai in the morning, which is difficult to meet the demand for arriving in Shanghai in the morning." He believes that this will lead to the need for personnel from major cities in the Yangtze River Delta to leave Shanghai a day in advance or extend the business communication time, which invisibly increases the cost of manpower and time. He suggested that the frequency of travel between major cities in the Yangtze River Delta and Shanghai should be increased during the morning and evening commuting periods, especially the morning departures from other cities to Shanghai, which can be combined with the specific needs of passengers on weekdays to advance the morning departure time and postpone the evening departure time.
