Zhu Fenglian said in response to an inquiry that the DPP authorities' attempt to use the so-called "transit" of the United States to plot official contacts between the United States and Taiwan and to seek opportunities to engage in "independence" manipulation is a consistent trick of their "relying on the United States to seek independence." No matter what name or trick they play, they cannot change the fact that "there is only one China in the world and Taiwan is a part of China." We firmly oppose any form of official exchanges between the United States and the Taiwan region. We urge the US side to abide by the one-China principle and the stipulations of the three Sino-US joint communiques and not to send the wrong signal to the "Taiwan independence" forces. Supporting Taiwan and seeking "independence" will only further damage peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and will only lead to the consequences of playing with fire and self-immolation.

Zhao Lijian said that there is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory. The one-China principle is a universally recognized norm governing international relations and a universal consensus that the vast majority of countries in the world recognize, accept, and practice. Adhering to the one-China principle is the general international righteousness, the aspiration of the people, and the trend of the times.
