Nurlan Igormbayev, the leader of the Kazakh Express Railway Holding Company, said that the journey from Xi'an to Mersin is more than 9,000 kilometers, and the transportation time is about 17 days.
"It will take 35 days to transport goods from China to Turkey by sea. Today, for the first time, the annual volume of transit containers transported by the Kazakh State Railway exceeds one million TEUs. He said.
Igormbayev said that since 2016, kazakhstan's transit container traffic has increased by 4.5 times. He stressed that this trend is expected to continue to increase in the future.
"This is a great gift from the railway staff to the 30th anniversary of the country's independence." He said.
