Haikou, 20 Jan (People's Daily Online) -- On 20 January, before the opening of the Fifth Session of the Seventh CPPCC National Committee of Hainan Province, the "member channel" centralized interview activity was first opened, which was also the first time that the two sessions of the Hainan Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference opened a "member channel." Nine members of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from different sectors stopped to speak out, answered reporters' questions, shared their feelings about performing their duties, and responded to the concerns of all parties.
Li Renjun, a member of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and dean of the School of Continuing Education of Hainan University, said in response to a reporter's question, "RCEP provides an opportunity for Hainan to go out in the future, and in general, the benefits of RCEP outweigh the disadvantages for us."
Li Renjun introduced that RCEP is a regional integration of trade agreement framework, in this large market, there are 30% of the world's population and GDP, RCEP is a unified market, can achieve "zero tariffs", will provide opportunities for Hainan to "go out".
Li Renjun believes that "RCEP has challenges for us, but we must also see that RCEP brings opportunities." For Hainan, RCEP will allow it to stimulate its potential in marketable and competitive industries such as processing and manufacturing, high-end manufacturing and other industries, in addition, for tropical agricultural products processing, aviation manufacturing and other industries, Hainan can rely on the support of overseas technology and talents to achieve the production and processing of the island and then sold to the mainland, to the RCEP region, and even to the world.
How will RCEP help Hainan's development after it takes effect? In this regard, Li Renjun made a judgment: "Overall, RCEP does more good for us than harm. If the epidemic is alleviated in the future, our modern service trade in services will face many opportunities, the RCEP region has a population of 2.2 billion, in the future, people can 'please come in', and our service products can 'go out'. ”
