Zhang Xuejie served in the former Nanjing Military Region for a long time, serving as the director of the political department of the former 31st Group Army, the former political commissar of the 12th Group Army, and the former political commissar of the 31st Group Army.
In January 2020, Zhang Xuejie made his first public appearance as a member of the Standing Committee of the Tibet Party Committee. On November 30, 2021, at the first plenary session of the 10th Session of the Tibet Party Committee, 15 people were elected to the standing committee of the new Tibet Party Committee, including Zhang Xuejie.
Zheng Zhijun noted that Wang Kai, the commander of the Tibet Military Region, who was paired with Yin Hongxing, was newly hired in April 2021.
Wang Kai, male, born in 1963, from Meishan, Sichuan. He was a national model of earthquake relief on May 12, and successively served as chief of staff of the 14th Group Army, commander of the 13th Group Army, and deputy commander of the Western Theater Army.
In the Wenchuan earthquake rescue, the 13th Group Army was the fastest unit to dispatch, running 400 kilometers in 3.5 hours to reach the scene.
