Opera character painting
Opera character painting, also known as "drama painting", as a unique category of Chinese painting, is a kind of Chinese painting with traditional opera as the theme, which began in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Painter introduction
Gong Laixiang, born in 1949 in Xiyang, Shanxi, graduated from the Art Department of Shanxi University in 1975. He is currently a professional painter of Yangquan Academy of Fine Arts and a national first-class artist. He is a member of the China Artists Association, the deputy director of the Shanxi Provincial Watercolor Art Committee, and an adjunct professor at the School of Fine Arts of Shanxi University. He is good at watercolor painting and theatrical character painting.
