Fuzhou News Network, 20 Jan (Fuzhou Daily reporter Wan Zhehua) On 19 January, the "Cross-Strait College Students Leadership Responsibility and Development Forum" was held in Fuzhou City, and nearly 100 college students from 37 colleges and universities, including Tsinghua University and Fudan University, gathered in Rongcheng to hold dialogues with the Taiwan branch venue over the air, and exchanged views on key areas such as cross-strait economic and trade, culture, and youth exchanges, thus stirring up the spark of youth style and thinking.

"What kind of communication do young people on both sides of the strait need?" Chen Peishan, a Taiwanese youth from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, shared her topic at the forum, which triggered the thinking of many college students present. As one of the important activities of the "Ninth Strait Youth Festival and the Fifth Cross-Strait University Student Leadership Camp", the students participating in the forum have previously conducted in-depth research in 8 key cities across the strait, including Beijing, Fuzhou and Kaohsiung, and displayed their concentrated results on the day of the event.

The forum focused on the themes of "new opportunities for cross-strait economic cooperation", "cross-strait relations behind the dragon boat", "exchange platform for students on land and Taiwan", and the outstanding students from both sides of the strait had multidisciplinary backgrounds, and they showed a deep and warm care for the times with the help of short videos and national style culture, and reflected the broad prospects of deep integration between the two sides of the strait.

Shen Hongrui, a Taiwanese youth from the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, invited his mainland students to participate in the forum. In recent years, his study and life on the mainland have made his understanding of cross-strait economic development more profound, and he has gained many confidants. "Studying and growing up on the mainland, we are not only witnesses to cross-strait economic and trade cooperation, but also deep participants and beneficiaries." Shen Hongrui said.

"We sing a song together / Find the root road you and I dialogue / Crossing the strait has always been one ..." At the scene of the event, young students on both sides of the strait sang love songs together in the sound of Minnan township. Although due to the impact of the epidemic, we can only participate in the forum online, the enthusiasm of the Taiwan branch venue has not diminished at all.

Taiwanese Youth Lin Yanliang, who participated in the Third Straits Youth Festival, joined the ranks of "old friends" again this year. In addition to going into the community in Kaohsiung with mainland students to conduct surveys, they also conducted cloud exchanges with the "Taiwan Social Work Service Center" in Mawei District, Fuzhou. "Different from previous sessions, this branch venue itinerary was planned by Taiwanese students, and the research activities were carried out with the participation of mainland students, so that the exchanges between students on both sides of the strait were more in-depth." Lin Yanliang said.

According to the organizers, as an important sub-event of the Straits Youth Festival, the "Cross-Strait College Student Leadership Camp" has been held for five consecutive sessions, becoming the largest, largest number of college students, and the most extensive cross-strait college student leader exchange activity at present.

On the day of the forum, a handover ceremony for the keys to public rental housing for Taiwan compatriots was also held, and 3 Young People from Taiwan from different industries said that they had more sense of gain and belonging in Fuzhou after receiving the keys.
