On January 15, the first session of the 17th People's Congress of Jurong City was successfully closed.
After deliberation and voting by the deputies to the People's Congress, the work report of the Jurong Court was approved by a large number of votes. Comrade Tang Dongsheng was elected president of the Jurong Municipal People's Court and solemnly swore an oath to the Constitution at the meeting.
During the meeting, the deputies of the Municipal People's Congress deliberated the five-year work report of the Jurong Court in groups. The deputies unanimously held that in the past five years, jurong court has taken the initiative to serve the work of the whole city center, conscientiously performed its law enforcement and case-handling duties, made every effort to safeguard the overall situation of social stability, comprehensively deepened reform and innovation, focused on strengthening its own construction, and made great efforts to enhance the people's sense of gain, happiness, and security, providing a strong judicial guarantee for jurong City's high-quality economic development and social harmony and stability. At the same time, the deputies also put forward valuable opinions and suggestions on further improving the work of the court.
Based on a new starting point, forge ahead on a new journey. In 2022, the year of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Jurong Court will conscientiously implement the spirit of this congress under the strong leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and under the effective supervision of the Municipal People's Congress and the Municipal Cppcc Committee, faithfully perform its duties, forge ahead, and make greater judicial contributions to the construction of the new Jurong of "One Blessed Land and Four Famous Cities" and "Strong, Rich and Beautiful".
