Nanchang, 19 Jan (Xinhua) -- The fifth session of the 12th Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference closed in Nanchang on the afternoon of 19 January.

The reporter learned that as of 11 o'clock on January 18, the meeting had received a total of 638 proposals. According to the main body of motions, there were 476 individual members and joint proposals, accounting for 74.6 percent; and 162 motions, accounting for 25.4 percent, were submitted by the provincial committees of democratic parties, the provincial federation of industry and commerce, and the special committees of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

According to the content of the proposals, there are 132 proposals, accounting for 20.7%, on the implementation of key core technologies and the construction of digital economy, etc.; 126 proposals for prosperity such as expanding domestic demand and promoting consumption and smoothing the economic cycle of Jiangxi Province, accounting for 19.7%; 80 proposals for accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of Jiangxi Province and promoting carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in Jiangxi, accounting for 12.5%; 129 proposals for promoting rural revitalization and improving the quality of people's lives in Jiangxi; and promoting coordinated regional development 119 proposals, accounting for 18.7%, on harmonious Jiangxi such as responding to security risks, and 52 proposals on the diligent and honest Jiangxi aspect, such as optimizing the business environment and building pro-Qing government-business relations, accounting for 8.2%.

During the meeting, a consultation meeting on the handling of proposals was also held around "paying attention to the construction of kindergartens and promoting the development of preschool education", and the responsible comrades of the undertaking unit communicated face-to-face with the proposers to discuss countermeasures. The meeting was unique, truth-seeking and pragmatic, and everyone "made suggestions, consulted, divided labor, and started" to jointly promote the handling of proposals.

The Fifth Session of the 12th CPPCC Jiangxi Provincial Committee was held in Nanchang from the afternoon of January 16 to 19, with a duration of three and a half days.
