Since ancient times, because of its simple warmth and tenacity, Luhua has always been the object of singing and admiration of the literati and inkers of successive generations. Every year in autumn and winter, the Hankou River Beach, blooming reeds and flowers cover the banks of the Yangtze River, becoming the most beautiful natural urban landscape of the Baili Yangtze River Ecological Corridor.
Since the launch of the Reed Flower Poetry Society, poetry lovers have expressed their love for The Reed Flower. Many creators used luhua as the theme to express their praise for the themes of Wuhan's anti-epidemic and Wuhan spirit.
"An outbreak is quarantined in the spring / In Wuhan, the season of birds and flowers ... The reed flowers will climb on the branches of spring / look forward to this seductive moment", the reed flowers represent hope, isolated from the epidemic. He Junxiong, a member of the Gansu Writers Association, sang in the poem "Luhua, Poetic Elegance or Lyricism" in the essay group, praising the people of Wuhan for being as tenacious as reeds in the face of the epidemic.
The beauty of the reed flower has resonated with many poetry creators, and many foreign contestants have come to Wuhan to admire the reeds and wrote poems, "In the Hankou River Beach, the reeds are the big stage / You see, the yellowed branches sway with the wind" "The morning sun is shining, the Yangtze River is rushing, each reed flower has its own soul of poetry, every drop of crystal, all understand the bitter cold heart of the reed" In more than 3,000 masterpieces, each contestant depicted the reed in their hearts with beautiful words.
After layers of screening, 156 poetry works were shortlisted for final evaluation, including 93 Gelug poems and 63 modern poems. In the next step, the activity team will organize experts to conduct the final evaluation of the award, and all the winning works will be published online.
