Ren Changlun's childhood was very unfortunate, his real name was Moving Labor, when he was 6 years old, the Kuomintang came to arrest Zhuangding, and his father was also on the list, but his father resolutely did not comply, which led to severe beatings from the officers, and finally died of his injuries.
Later, he was adopted by his uncle and sent to the academy to study, and his uncle named him Ren Changlun, and his suffering life made Ren Changlun a precocious child. Sun Huzhuang, where Ren Changlun was located, was once a place where the Boxers had been active, so when he was a child, he often listened to the legendary stories of the Boxers' "imperial insults" and "killing stolen officials".
As he grew older, especially after a period of exploited and oppressed inhuman life, he deepened his hatred for the forces of evil and sympathy for his suffering compatriots, and developed a character of wit, courage, and evil. Gradually, people in the village called him "Tiger". The "tiger" in The Huangxian dialect means mighty and violent.
At that time, the iron hooves of the Japanese invaders stepped into Yantai, burned and looted without evil, and the local Kuomintang government officials "smelled the wind for forty miles, and the guns rang out one hundred and one", either ran away or became traitors, in order to resist the invaders, Sun Huzhuang set up a guerrilla unit "self-defense regiment", and Ren Changlun, who had just turned 17 at the time, signed up for the self-defense regiment.
Although Ren Changlun was young and short, he was witty and brave, and he could figure out a way in a pinch. He did a great job of putting up slogans, cutting power lines, laying mines, fighting ambushes, destroying roads and bridges, and harassing Japanese strongholds, and within two years he was the backbone of the Self-Defense Corps.
In October 1940, Ren Changlun officially joined the Eighth Route Army and became a member of the regular army, but due to the shortage of guns at that time and his young age, the company commander did not give him guns, but let him do some tasks to deliver ammunition, but soon he ushered in the first opportunity for actual combat.
In December 1940, the 14th Regiment attacked the Japanese stronghold of Guojiadian in Ye County (present-day Laizhou City), Shandong Province, and the battle was extremely brutal. When Ren Changlun came to the position carrying ammunition, he saw that his comrades had begun to engage in white-knife warfare with the enemy, so he threw down the ammunition box and pounced on the enemy. At this time, a Japanese soldier was fighting with a soldier of the Eighth Route Army, and Ren Changlun went up to hug the Japanese soldier and fell to the ground, taking the opportunity to seize the enemy's three-eight large cover gun, and returning the hand to stab the Japanese soldier's life.
Then, he rushed to the Japanese soldiers next to him, and after a few rounds of fighting, he felt that it was not easy to use the bayonet, so he turned around and smashed the enemy's head with the butt of his rifle, showing great bravery. In the four years that Ren Changlun participated in the Eighth Route Army, he participated in more than 120 large and small battles, hung up the lottery 9 times, and left 11 scars all over his body. Ren Changlun's sacrifice aroused the anger of his comrades-in-arms, and the soldiers launched a more fierce counterattack, attacking the Japanese puppet army from different directions, and the enemy finally fled in a hurry. In this battle, a total of 258 Japanese troops were destroyed, 12 were taken prisoner, and a large number of weapons and materials were captured. This was the heaviest loss suffered by the Japanese army since the occupation of Jiaodong.

In February 1945, the anti-Japanese government of HuangXian County decided to rename the hero's hometown of Sun Huzhuang to Changlun Zhuang.
